Itching and pain in the genital area with increased discharge?

Hello, recently I've been experiencing intense itching in my genital area, so I scratched it while showering, and now it feels a bit painful, especially around the clitoris and the area where the vagina connects to the anus.
I've noticed a white-yellow discharge, which varies in amount, and my menstrual period has been absent for over a month.

Itching, pain, and unusual discharge in the genital area can be concerning symptoms that may indicate an underlying condition. Based on your description, it sounds like you are experiencing several symptoms that could be related to a variety of issues, including infections, skin conditions, or hormonal imbalances.

Firstly, the itching you are experiencing could be due to a yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, or even sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as trichomoniasis or gonorrhea. Yeast infections are particularly common and can cause intense itching, irritation, and a thick, white discharge. Bacterial vaginosis, on the other hand, often presents with a fishy odor and a grayish discharge. STIs can also lead to similar symptoms, so it is essential to consider these possibilities.

The pain you mentioned, especially around the clitoris and the area where the vagina meets the anus, could be a result of irritation from scratching or could indicate an infection. It is important to avoid scratching, as this can exacerbate the irritation and lead to further complications, such as secondary infections.

The yellowish-white discharge you described is also noteworthy. If it is accompanied by a strong odor, it may suggest an infection. Normal vaginal discharge can vary in color and consistency throughout the menstrual cycle, but any sudden changes, especially if accompanied by discomfort, should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

Regarding your menstrual cycle, having missed your period for over a month could be related to several factors, including stress, hormonal imbalances, or pregnancy. If you are sexually active, it is advisable to take a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy as a cause for your missed period. Hormonal imbalances can also affect your menstrual cycle and may be linked to the other symptoms you are experiencing.

Given the combination of symptoms you have described, it is crucial to seek medical attention. A healthcare provider can perform a thorough examination, including a pelvic exam, and may take samples for laboratory testing to determine the cause of your symptoms. This could include tests for infections, hormonal evaluations, or other diagnostic procedures as needed.

In summary, the symptoms of itching, pain, unusual discharge, and a missed period can be indicative of various conditions, including infections or hormonal issues. It is essential to consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Early intervention can help alleviate symptoms and prevent potential complications. Remember, maintaining good hygiene, avoiding irritants, and seeking medical advice are key steps in managing your health.
