Is it possible to get pregnant?

Hello, please take your time to read this.
Thank you.
My last menstrual period started on February 6.
I had intimate relations with my boyfriend on February 21.
Initially, his fingers went quite deep, and I'm not sure if they came into contact with any of his secretions beforehand.
Later, there was a slight insertion, but he pulled out quickly without ejaculation.
Out of concern, I took the emergency contraceptive pill, Ella, within 24 hours.
About twenty days later, I used a pregnancy test, which showed only one line.

On April 3, I had a major event where I stood almost all day.
The next afternoon, I went out with my family and experienced a headache.
After taking a nap, on April 5, I felt dizzy all day, and as of today, April 7, I still feel a bit off.
However, I noticed that I still have slight dizziness, and in the past two days, I've felt the urge to urinate every couple of hours, which is making me worry about the possibility of being pregnant, and I'm quite scared.

Before this, I didn't have any other unusual discomfort.
I observed that my nipples are a light brown color, but I'm still very anxious.
Could it be that I'm just overly tired and overthinking, causing my body to exhibit false symptoms? To give you some context, my menstrual cycles have never been regular; they have been as infrequent as once every year or every six months.
The last few times, I took progesterone and estrogen prescribed by a doctor to induce my period.
The last menstrual period was in early February, which was also induced by medication, and the one before that was in mid-October.

Hello, a pregnancy test should be taken at least 12 days after conception for accurate results.
If the test shows only one line, the chances of pregnancy are low.
It is advisable to use contraception beforehand.
If your period is more than a week late, it is recommended to consult a gynecologist.
Wishing you good health.

It sounds like you're going through a very challenging time, and it's completely understandable to feel anxious about your symptoms and the possibility of pregnancy. Let's break down your concerns and provide some clarity.

Firstly, the timing of your last menstrual period (LMP) on February 6, combined with your intimate encounter on February 21, does raise some questions about the likelihood of pregnancy. Since you took an emergency contraceptive pill (Ella) shortly after the encounter, this significantly reduces the chances of pregnancy. Emergency contraceptive pills are most effective when taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse, ideally within 72 hours, but they can work up to 120 hours (5 days) after. The fact that you tested negative for pregnancy about 20 days later is a good sign, but it's important to note that testing too early can sometimes yield false negatives.

Your symptoms of fatigue, headaches, and increased urination could be attributed to several factors, including stress, fatigue from your recent activities, or even hormonal fluctuations due to the medications you've taken in the past. It's also possible that your body is reacting to the stress and anxiety surrounding your concerns about pregnancy. Stress can manifest in various physical symptoms, including headaches and changes in urination patterns.

Regarding the darkening of your nipples, this can be a normal physiological change that occurs due to hormonal fluctuations, especially in women with irregular menstrual cycles. It doesn't necessarily indicate pregnancy, especially in the context of your recent negative pregnancy test.

Given your history of irregular menstrual cycles and the use of hormonal medications, it’s crucial to consult with a healthcare provider. They can conduct a thorough evaluation, including a physical examination and possibly blood tests, to assess your hormonal levels and rule out any underlying conditions that might be contributing to your symptoms.

If you continue to experience anxiety about the possibility of pregnancy or your health in general, consider speaking with a mental health professional. They can help you develop coping strategies for managing anxiety and stress, which can significantly impact your overall well-being.

In summary, while your symptoms may be concerning, they could also be attributed to stress and hormonal changes rather than pregnancy. It's essential to follow up with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and peace of mind. Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health, especially during times of uncertainty.
