Pain during erection?
In the past couple of days, I have experienced pain at the left anterior tip of the glans during erection, but there are no issues or pain while urinating.
When I gently press on the tip during an erection, there is a soreness (similar to the pain of accidentally getting tissue stuck in the urethra).
Normally, there is no pain when I press lightly, and there is no external injury.
I would like to know if this could be a sign of urethritis.
Additionally, I have a habit of using tissue to dry off after urinating; does this increase the risk of a urinary tract infection?

Frequent erections or injuries to the glans due to excessive sexual activity may indicate a loss of balance in life, so it's important to take adequate rest.
Maintaining a healthy and relaxed lifestyle is essential.
It's also good practice to use toilet paper to dry off after urination.

Experiencing pain during an erection can be concerning and may stem from various underlying causes. It’s important to understand that while occasional discomfort might not indicate a serious issue, persistent pain should be evaluated by a healthcare professional. Here are some potential causes and considerations regarding your symptoms:
1. Urethritis: This is an inflammation of the urethra, which can be caused by infections (bacterial or viral) or irritants. Symptoms may include pain during urination, discharge, or discomfort during erections. If you suspect urethritis, it’s crucial to consult a healthcare provider for appropriate testing and treatment.
2. Peyronie's Disease: This condition involves the development of fibrous scar tissue inside the penis, leading to curved, painful erections. If the pain is localized and associated with a noticeable curvature or deformity, this could be a possibility.
3. Infection: Infections of the urinary tract or sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can cause pain during erections. While you mentioned that urination is not painful, it’s still possible to have an infection that presents differently. A healthcare provider can perform tests to rule out infections.
4. Trauma or Injury: Even if you don’t recall any specific injury, micro-trauma from vigorous sexual activity or other physical activities can lead to temporary pain. If the pain persists or worsens, it’s advisable to seek medical attention.
5. Skin Conditions: Conditions affecting the skin of the penis, such as dermatitis or infections, can also lead to localized pain. If you notice any rashes, redness, or swelling, this could be a contributing factor.
Regarding your question about using toilet paper to dry after urination, while it is generally safe, it’s essential to ensure that you are gentle to avoid irritation. Using rough or abrasive materials can potentially lead to micro-tears or irritation of the urethral opening, which might increase the risk of infection. Instead, consider using softer materials or allowing the area to air dry when possible.
If the pain during erections continues or if you experience additional symptoms such as swelling, discharge, or changes in urination, it is crucial to seek medical advice. A healthcare provider can perform a physical examination, possibly conduct urine tests or swabs, and provide a diagnosis and treatment plan tailored to your specific situation.
In summary, while there are several potential causes for the pain you are experiencing during erections, it is essential to consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Early intervention can help prevent complications and address any underlying issues effectively.
