Probability of pregnancy?
Two months ago, my menstrual periods were on March 21 and April 23.
On April 21, I felt like my period was delayed, so I consulted a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner.
Two days later, my period started on April 24.
I had sexual intercourse on May 1, 8, 15, and 22.
On May 11, while using the restroom, I noticed a very faint trace of blood while wiping, which lasted for about 3 to 4 days.
I then went to a gynecologist for an ultrasound, and the doctor said there were no eggs in the ovaries, indicating that ovulation had likely occurred.
The doctor also mentioned that there were no issues with the uterus and that it was a normal phenomenon (ovulatory bleeding).
I used condoms throughout the entire time, and I checked for any breaks afterward, finding none.
On May 27 and 28, I bought a pregnancy test because I was worried, and both tests showed a single line.
This month, I had a little bit of soda, and I usually go to bed around 1 AM.
I'm unsure if my anxiety and stress about possibly being pregnant are causing my period to be delayed.
I've also been experiencing bloating in my stomach for almost a month and have seen a gastroenterologist, which adds to my concern.
What is the likelihood of being pregnant?

Dr. Cao Guotao reply Obstetrics and Gynecology
Hello, a general pregnancy test should be taken at least 12 days after conception for accurate results.
The chances of pregnancy are low if the test shows only one line.
It's best to use contraception to prevent unintended pregnancy.
If your period is more than a week late, it is advisable to consult a gynecologist.
Wishing you good health.

More Info
Understanding pregnancy chances involves several key factors, including menstrual cycle regularity, ovulation timing, and overall reproductive health. Based on your description, it seems you have been tracking your menstrual cycle and have experienced some irregularities, which can be common in many women.
Firstly, your menstrual cycle appears to be generally within the normal range of 21 to 35 days, but the irregularities you mentioned, such as the delayed periods and the occurrence of light spotting, can sometimes indicate fluctuations in hormone levels or other underlying issues. The fact that you have consulted with a healthcare provider and received confirmation that there are no immediate concerns with your ovaries or uterus is reassuring.
Regarding the possibility of pregnancy, it is important to consider the timing of your sexual activity in relation to your ovulation. Ovulation typically occurs about 14 days before the start of your next period. If you have a cycle length of around 28 days, ovulation would likely occur around day 14. However, since your cycles can vary, it is possible that ovulation could occur later or earlier than expected. The spotting you experienced on May 11 could be related to ovulation, known as ovulation spotting, which is not uncommon.
You mentioned using condoms consistently during intercourse, which is an effective method of contraception when used correctly. The fact that you have tested for pregnancy and received negative results on the pregnancy tests is also a strong indicator that you are not pregnant, especially if the tests were taken after the expected date of your period.
Stress and anxiety about potential pregnancy can indeed affect your menstrual cycle. Psychological factors can influence hormonal balance, potentially leading to delayed menstruation or changes in cycle regularity. If you are feeling anxious about the possibility of being pregnant, it may be beneficial to engage in stress-reducing activities such as exercise, meditation, or talking to a professional about your concerns.
In terms of your gastrointestinal symptoms, such as bloating, these can also be influenced by stress and dietary changes. It is good that you have consulted with a gastroenterologist to rule out any significant issues.
To summarize, based on the information provided, the likelihood of pregnancy seems low given the consistent use of condoms and the negative pregnancy tests. However, if your period does not arrive soon, or if you continue to experience unusual symptoms, it may be worthwhile to consult your healthcare provider for further evaluation. They may suggest additional testing or monitoring to ensure that everything is functioning as it should be.
In conclusion, while the possibility of pregnancy cannot be entirely ruled out without further testing, the combination of contraceptive use, negative pregnancy tests, and medical evaluations suggests that your chances of being pregnant are low. Focus on managing stress and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and keep an open line of communication with your healthcare provider for any ongoing concerns.
