The glans is gradually becoming red?
In recent days, I've been working a lot and feeling discomfort in my groin area.
I also played basketball, and later I noticed that my glans and foreskin are quite itchy.
Today, I discovered some redness, but there is no discharge or any bumps.
I'm not sure if this is balanitis or just a result of not cleaning properly.
Will it heal on its own?

It sounds like there are no issues.
It is recommended to avoid wearing tight pants and to refrain from sitting for long periods; instead, get up and walk around frequently and drink plenty of water.
Do not wash too vigorously; it is advised to use only water for cleaning.
Minimize the glans' exposure to chemical substances.
After showering, use a hairdryer to dry off, and make sure to wipe dry after urination while paying attention to cleanliness.

More Info
The symptoms you are experiencing, including redness and itching on the glans (the head of the penis) and the foreskin, could be indicative of a few different conditions, with the most common being balanitis, which is inflammation of the glans. This condition can arise from various factors, including poor hygiene, irritation from sweat or friction (especially if you have been active in hot weather or playing sports), or even an allergic reaction to soaps or laundry detergents.
1. Causes of Redness and Itching:
- Balanitis: This is often caused by a buildup of smegma (a combination of dead skin cells and oils), which can irritate the sensitive skin of the glans. It can also be due to infections, including yeast infections or bacterial infections.
- Irritation: Prolonged exposure to moisture, such as sweat, can lead to skin irritation. If you have been wearing tight clothing or engaging in activities that cause friction, this could also contribute to your symptoms.
- Allergic Reactions: Sometimes, products such as soaps, lotions, or even certain fabrics can cause allergic reactions, leading to redness and itching.
2. Self-Care and Treatment:
- Hygiene: It is essential to maintain proper hygiene. Gently clean the area with mild soap and water, ensuring that you rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue. Avoid using harsh soaps or products that may irritate the skin.
- Dryness: After washing, make sure to dry the area well, as moisture can exacerbate irritation and promote the growth of bacteria or yeast.
- Avoid Irritants: If you suspect that a product may be causing irritation, discontinue its use and observe if your symptoms improve.
- Over-the-Counter Treatments: If the itching and redness persist, you may consider using an over-the-counter antifungal cream if you suspect a yeast infection. However, if you are unsure of the cause, it is best to consult a healthcare professional.
3. When to Seek Medical Attention:
- If the symptoms do not improve with self-care measures within a few days, or if they worsen, it is advisable to see a healthcare provider. They can perform a physical examination and may conduct tests to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms.
- Additionally, if you notice any discharge, significant swelling, or if you experience pain, these could be signs of a more serious condition that requires medical evaluation.
4. Potential Complications:
- If left untreated, conditions like balanitis can lead to complications such as phimosis (tightening of the foreskin) or recurrent infections. Therefore, addressing the symptoms early on is crucial.
In summary, while your symptoms may be due to a mild case of irritation or balanitis, proper hygiene and self-care are essential. If symptoms persist or worsen, seeking medical advice is the best course of action to ensure appropriate treatment and to rule out any serious conditions.
