Can I get pregnant?

I had intercourse with my girlfriend today three times without using a condom, and I did not ejaculate during any of the encounters.
However, after the first time, my girlfriend felt a little something flow inside her, but I did not feel any ejaculation at all.
Additionally, she was already quite wet before we started, and she just finished her menstrual period yesterday.
Could this result in pregnancy?

Hello, the chances of pregnancy are low, but it is best to take preventive measures at all times and not to rely on the safe period.
If your period is more than a week late, it is advisable to consult a gynecologist.
Wishing you good health.

The question of whether one can get pregnant without ejaculation is a common concern, particularly among couples who are trying to avoid pregnancy. The short answer is yes, it is possible to become pregnant even if ejaculation does not occur. This can happen due to a few factors that are important to understand.

Firstly, pre-ejaculate fluid, often referred to as "pre-cum," is released from the penis before ejaculation. This fluid can contain sperm, although typically in lower concentrations than ejaculate. If there are sperm present in the pre-ejaculate, and this fluid comes into contact with the vaginal canal, there is a possibility of sperm traveling to the egg and resulting in pregnancy.
In your case, you mentioned that there was some fluid that your girlfriend felt after the first encounter, which raises the possibility that pre-ejaculate could have been involved. Even if you did not feel that you ejaculated, the presence of pre-ejaculate could still pose a risk for pregnancy.

Additionally, the timing of your girlfriend's menstrual cycle is also a crucial factor. You noted that her period had just ended. Generally, ovulation occurs about 12 to 16 days before the start of the next menstrual period. If she has a regular cycle, the days immediately following her period are typically considered less fertile. However, sperm can live inside the female reproductive tract for up to five days, so if she ovulates shortly after her period, there is still a chance for sperm to fertilize an egg.

Moreover, the fact that she was already wet before intercourse suggests that she was aroused, which is a normal physiological response. This does not directly affect the likelihood of pregnancy but indicates that she was receptive to sexual activity.

In summary, while the risk of pregnancy without ejaculation is lower than with ejaculation, it is not zero. The presence of pre-ejaculate fluid can carry sperm, and the timing within the menstrual cycle can influence the likelihood of conception. If you and your girlfriend are concerned about the possibility of pregnancy, it may be wise to consider emergency contraception if the sexual activity occurred within the last 72 to 120 hours, depending on the type of emergency contraceptive used.
For future sexual encounters, if avoiding pregnancy is a priority, it is advisable to use reliable contraception methods, such as condoms or hormonal birth control, to minimize the risk of unintended pregnancy. Consulting with a healthcare provider can also provide personalized advice and options based on your specific circumstances.

Dr. Zhuang Zhijian reply Obstetrics and Gynecology
In theory, to achieve pregnancy, there must be contact between sperm and an egg. If there are no sperm at all, pregnancy cannot occur. However, if ejaculation is completely avoided, it does not mean that sperm cannot be released, so there is still a possibility of pregnancy.
