Can I get pregnant?
On December 10th, I had a little bit of menstrual bleeding left, almost none.
That night, my boyfriend and I attempted to engage in foreplay, and he ejaculated on his clothes (there was no penetration).
He immediately went to wash the clothes and his hands, but when he returned, he still touched my vagina.
I would like to ask if the remaining blood from my period means that I have finished menstruating? Could touching lead to pregnancy? (I am worried that his hands were not clean.)

What you need is not medical advice but rather a refresher on sexual education.
For such inquiries, it is recommended to refer to the National Health Administration's "Sexual Well-being e-Learning" or the Obstetrics and Gynecology Society's "Consultation Guide for Adolescent Contraception" at http://goo.gl/dc6PfW.
Hello, the questioner: There is a possibility of pregnancy even if ejaculation does not occur, as pre-ejaculatory fluid may contain sperm.
It is advisable to check for pregnancy if your period is more than a week late.
Thank you! Wishing you peace and health, Dr.
Zhang.

When it comes to the question of whether you can get pregnant from touching during your period, it's important to understand the biology of the menstrual cycle and the mechanics of conception.
Firstly, the menstrual cycle typically lasts about 28 days, but it can vary from person to person. Ovulation, which is when an egg is released from the ovary, usually occurs around the midpoint of the cycle, approximately 14 days before the next period starts. Sperm can live inside the female reproductive tract for up to five days, so if you have unprotected intercourse in the days leading up to ovulation, there is a possibility of becoming pregnant.
In your case, you mentioned that you were on your period and that there was only a small amount of blood left. This could indicate that you are nearing the end of your menstrual cycle, but it does not definitively mean that you have ovulated or that you cannot become pregnant. Sperm can potentially survive in the vaginal canal, and if there was any sperm on your boyfriend's hands after he washed them, there is a slight risk of pregnancy if it came into contact with your vaginal area.
To address your concerns more specifically:
1. Can you get pregnant from touching during your period? The likelihood is low, especially if you are at the end of your period and not close to ovulation. However, it is not impossible. If there was any sperm on your boyfriend's hands and it made contact with your vagina, there is a theoretical risk of pregnancy, albeit very low.
2. Does the presence of blood indicate that you are no longer fertile? Not necessarily. While menstruation signifies that you are not currently ovulating, the end of your period does not guarantee that ovulation is imminent. Each woman's cycle is unique, and factors such as stress, health, and hormonal balance can affect ovulation timing.
3. What should you do if you are concerned about pregnancy? If you are worried about the possibility of pregnancy, the best course of action is to take a home pregnancy test if your period is late. Additionally, if you are sexually active and not planning for a pregnancy, consider discussing contraceptive options with your healthcare provider to prevent unintended pregnancies in the future.
In summary, while the chances of getting pregnant from touching during your period are low, they are not zero. It is always best to practice safe sex and use protection if you want to avoid pregnancy. If you have further concerns or questions about your menstrual cycle or reproductive health, consulting with a healthcare professional can provide you with personalized advice and information.
