I want to take a pregnancy test?

Last month, my period started on January 28.
Around February 20, I noticed a small amount of brown discharge and thought it was my period, so I used a pad, but it stopped shortly after.
During fingering with my boyfriend, he pulled out and there was some blood, but that also stopped.
Recently, we haven't had intercourse, and the last time was before February 13, always using condoms.
I remember there was one time when there was some rubbing through my clothes, and my hands were clean during fingering.
I'm unsure if I might have accidentally touched something that could lead to pregnancy.
Also, my period still hasn't come, and I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet.
Lately, I've been feeling nauseous and sometimes dizzy.

Understanding early pregnancy signs and testing is crucial for anyone who suspects they might be pregnant. Based on your description, it seems you are experiencing some symptoms that could be associated with early pregnancy, such as missed menstruation, nausea, and dizziness. However, it’s important to clarify a few points regarding the possibility of pregnancy and the signs you are experiencing.

Firstly, the timing of your last menstrual period (LMP) is significant. If your last period was on January 28 and you are now experiencing symptoms in mid-February, it is possible that you could be pregnant, especially if your menstrual cycle is typically regular. A missed period is often one of the first signs of pregnancy, but it can also be influenced by other factors such as stress, hormonal imbalances, or changes in weight.

The presence of a small amount of brownish discharge could be concerning, as it may indicate implantation bleeding, which occurs when a fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus. However, it can also be a sign of an irregular menstrual cycle or other non-pregnancy-related issues. Since you mentioned that you have not had any sexual intercourse recently and have been using protection, the likelihood of pregnancy from the activities you described (such as finger penetration or contact through clothing) is quite low. Sperm needs to be deposited in the vagina for pregnancy to occur, and while it is theoretically possible for sperm to travel through clothing, the chances are minimal.

Given your symptoms of nausea and dizziness, it would be prudent to take a home pregnancy test. These tests are designed to detect the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), which is produced shortly after a fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining. For the most accurate results, it is recommended to take the test after your missed period, as this allows for higher levels of hCG to be present in your urine.

If the test is positive, you should schedule an appointment with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and prenatal care. If the test is negative but your period still does not arrive, it may be wise to consult a doctor to rule out any underlying issues.

In terms of your symptoms, nausea and dizziness can be caused by various factors, including hormonal changes, stress, or even dietary changes. If you are feeling particularly unwell, it is advisable to seek medical attention to ensure that there are no other health concerns at play.

In summary, while your symptoms could suggest early pregnancy, the best course of action is to take a home pregnancy test and consult with a healthcare provider for personalized advice. Early prenatal care is essential for the health of both the mother and the developing fetus, so do not hesitate to seek medical guidance.
