Is this too sensitive?
I usually clean under my foreskin while showering, and because of an odor, I use a small amount of body wash.
Recently, I've noticed that when I accidentally get an erection while cleaning, I feel the urge to touch it.
However, when the bubbles from the body wash rub against the glans, I'm unsure if it feels pleasurable or painful (normally, I don't experience pain during regular contact).
My knees tend to buckle involuntarily.
Is this sensitivity due to being a virgin and not having experienced much stimulation, or could it be that my glans is injured?

Hello: It is sensitive, so it is not recommended to use shower gel; rinsing with clean water is sufficient.
Wishing you good health.

When it comes to personal hygiene and bathing, it's important to understand the normal physiological responses of the body, as well as the potential for discomfort or sensitivity. Based on your description, it sounds like you are experiencing heightened sensitivity during bathing, particularly when cleaning the glans (the head of the penis) and using soap. This sensitivity can be attributed to several factors, and I will address them in detail.
Firstly, it is not uncommon for individuals to experience increased sensitivity in the genital area, especially if they are not accustomed to certain types of stimulation. The glans is a highly sensitive area due to a high concentration of nerve endings, and any new sensations—such as those caused by soap or vigorous cleaning—can lead to discomfort or an unusual feeling. If you are using soap, it is essential to ensure that it is a mild, unscented formula, as harsh soaps can irritate the sensitive skin of the glans and lead to discomfort.
The fact that you mentioned experiencing an erection while cleaning could also be a natural physiological response. Erections can occur for various reasons, including physical stimulation, psychological arousal, or even reflexively during certain activities. This does not necessarily indicate any underlying issue, especially if you are a virgin and have not had much experience with sexual stimulation. It is possible that your body is simply reacting to the sensations in a way that is new to you.
Regarding the pain or discomfort you feel when the soap creates bubbles and comes into contact with the glans, this could be a sign of irritation rather than an injury. If you typically do not experience pain during regular contact, it may be that the soap is causing a reaction. If the discomfort persists, it would be wise to reduce the frequency of soap use in that area or switch to a gentler cleansing method, such as warm water alone or a specialized intimate wash designed for sensitive skin.
If you are concerned about the possibility of injury, it is essential to examine the area for any signs of redness, swelling, or lesions. If you notice any abnormalities or if the pain continues, it would be prudent to consult a healthcare professional. They can provide a thorough examination and determine if there is any underlying issue that needs to be addressed.
In summary, your sensitivity during bathing may be a normal response to stimulation, particularly if you are not used to such sensations. However, if you experience persistent pain or discomfort, it is advisable to seek medical advice. Maintaining proper hygiene is important, but it should not come at the cost of discomfort. Always opt for gentle cleansing methods and listen to your body's signals. If you have further concerns or questions about your sexual health, consider discussing them with a healthcare provider who specializes in urology or sexual health. They can provide tailored advice and reassurance based on your individual circumstances.
