The issue of athlete's foot?
My feet sweat, and I have seen a doctor and applied a topical ointment called "Yiqingfu." Should I apply it to the areas with peeling skin, blisters, and pustules? During the application process, blisters and pustules continue to form.
I have not popped them.
Is this situation normal? I have to wear cloth shoes to class, but my feet sweat easily.
Are there other ways to improve this condition?

Hello: At the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Food and Drug Administration, I only found information on "Yifuqing" cream (https://www.fda.gov.tw/MLMS/H0001D.aspx?Type=Lic&LicId=01028925).
Generally, topical ointments are applied to affected areas, and if the medication is effective, blisters and pustules should gradually crust over and peel, returning to normal skin.
If your feet tend to sweat, it is usually recommended to wear sandals or flip-flops to keep your feet ventilated and dry.
If you must wear closed shoes to class, consider choosing moisture-wicking socks or bringing an extra pair of clean socks to change into.
If your skin condition persists or worsens, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

More Info
Managing athlete's foot and dealing with sweaty feet can be quite challenging, especially when you're experiencing symptoms like blisters and pus-filled bumps. It sounds like you're already taking some steps by consulting a doctor and using a topical medication like "益清膚" (Yiqingfu). Here are some tips and insights to help you manage your condition more effectively.
Understanding Athlete's Foot
Athlete's foot, or tinea pedis, is a fungal infection that thrives in warm, moist environments. Symptoms can include itching, burning, and the development of blisters or sores. The fact that you're experiencing blisters and pus-filled bumps suggests that the infection may be more severe or that there is a secondary bacterial infection occurring due to scratching or irritation.
Application of Medication
When applying topical antifungal creams like "益清膚," it's essential to follow your doctor's instructions closely. Typically, you should apply the cream to the affected areas, including any areas where the skin is peeling or blistered. It's crucial to ensure that the skin is clean and dry before application. If you're experiencing ongoing blistering and pus formation, it may indicate that the treatment is not fully effective, or that the infection is more complicated than initially thought. In such cases, it might be beneficial to revisit your healthcare provider for further evaluation.
Managing Sweaty Feet
1. Foot Hygiene: Keeping your feet clean and dry is paramount. Wash your feet daily with soap and water, and make sure to dry them thoroughly, especially between the toes. Consider using a foot powder that contains antifungal properties to help absorb moisture.
2. Footwear Choices: Since you mentioned that you have to wear cloth shoes for class, ensure that they are breathable. Look for shoes made from materials that wick moisture away, such as mesh or moisture-wicking fabrics. Avoid wearing the same pair of shoes every day; allow them to air out between uses.
3. Socks Matter: Opt for moisture-wicking socks made from synthetic fibers or merino wool, which can help keep your feet dry. Change your socks during the day if they become damp.
4. Antiperspirants: Consider using an antiperspirant specifically designed for feet. These products can help reduce sweating and keep your feet drier.
5. Home Remedies: Some people find relief from foot odor and sweating by soaking their feet in a solution of vinegar and water or Epsom salt. However, be cautious with any home remedies, especially if you have open sores or blisters.
When to Seek Further Help
If your symptoms persist or worsen despite treatment, or if you notice increased redness, swelling, or discharge, it's crucial to consult your healthcare provider. They may recommend a stronger antifungal medication or investigate the possibility of a bacterial infection that requires antibiotic treatment.
Conclusion
Managing athlete's foot and sweaty feet requires a combination of proper hygiene, appropriate footwear, and effective treatment. While topical medications can be beneficial, ensuring that you're addressing the underlying moisture issue is equally important. By implementing these strategies, you can help alleviate your symptoms and promote healing. Remember, if you're ever in doubt or if your condition does not improve, seeking professional medical advice is always the best course of action.
