Ejaculation and urination issues?

Hello, Doctor.
I have some questions I would like to ask you.
I have been masturbating once a day for about 3.5 to 4 years.
The volume of semen varies from time to time.
Recently, I have noticed that when I urinate, the stream is not very strong, and sometimes shortly after finishing, I feel the urge to urinate again, or I only pass a small amount.
My fluid intake is inconsistent, and I do not exercise much.

1.
Is my urination issue related to my frequency and condition of ejaculation?
2.
What are the effects of ejaculating a large volume of semen at once?
3.
After ejaculation, the glans and urethral opening become slightly red and swollen; is this normal? I use tissue to apply pressure and wipe.
Additionally, I would like to ask about delayed ejaculation.
Does it refer to stopping ejaculation suddenly while urinating, or does it mean holding back before ejaculation to release a large volume of semen at once? Sometimes, during masturbation, I perform the latter action, and I am unsure if this is what is referred to as delayed ejaculation.
It seems that this may not be good for my body, so I would like to inquire about it.
If the latter is indeed delayed ejaculation, is there a connection to my urination issues? Can it self-correct?
Lastly, I have been feeling an excessive sex drive and want to reduce it, but I find it difficult.
Even without intentionally watching adult media, I still feel the urge to masturbate.
What should I do?

Maintaining a regular routine, engaging in consistent exercise, cultivating healthy habits, and participating in social activities can be beneficial for your condition.

Understanding ejaculation and urination issues can be complex, especially when considering the interplay between sexual health and urinary function. Based on your description, let's address your concerns systematically.

1. Relationship Between Ejaculation Frequency and Urination Issues: Frequent ejaculation, such as daily masturbation, can influence urinary function in several ways. While there is no direct correlation that suggests that frequent ejaculation causes urinary problems, the two systems are interconnected. The prostate gland, which plays a significant role in both ejaculation and urination, can become engorged or inflamed due to frequent sexual activity. This may lead to sensations of urgency or incomplete bladder emptying. Additionally, if you are experiencing changes in urine flow or frequency, it could be indicative of underlying issues such as prostatitis or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), especially if you are in an age group where these conditions are more common.

2. Impact of Large Ejaculation Volume: The volume of semen can vary based on several factors, including hydration, frequency of ejaculation, and overall health. A single large ejaculation is generally not harmful; however, if you consistently notice a significant change in volume or experience discomfort, it may warrant further investigation. Large volumes of semen can sometimes lead to temporary discomfort or a feeling of fullness in the bladder, which might contribute to the sensation of needing to urinate shortly after ejaculation.

3. Redness and Swelling of the Urethral Opening: Experiencing redness or swelling at the urethral opening after ejaculation can be a normal response to friction or irritation, especially if you are using tissue to wipe. However, if this redness persists, is accompanied by pain, or if you notice any discharge, it could indicate an infection or inflammation, such as urethritis. It is advisable to monitor these symptoms and consult a healthcare provider if they do not resolve.

4. Understanding Delayed Ejaculation: Delayed ejaculation refers to a condition where a man has difficulty achieving orgasm or ejaculation despite adequate sexual stimulation. The concept of "holding back" during masturbation to achieve a larger volume of ejaculation is not typically classified as delayed ejaculation. Instead, it may be a technique some individuals use to enhance the sensation or volume of ejaculation. However, frequently practicing this technique may lead to discomfort or even psychological stress regarding sexual performance.
5. Connection Between Sexual Desire and Urinary Issues: A heightened sexual desire can sometimes lead to increased masturbation frequency, which may not directly relate to urinary issues but can exacerbate feelings of urgency or discomfort if the pelvic floor muscles are overworked. If you feel that your sexual desire is excessive and interfering with daily life, it may be beneficial to explore relaxation techniques, physical activity, or even speaking with a mental health professional to address underlying concerns.

6. Self-Management and Improvement: To potentially improve your urinary symptoms, consider adopting a more regular hydration schedule, engaging in pelvic floor exercises (such as Kegel exercises), and ensuring you have a balanced diet. Regular physical activity can also help regulate bodily functions, including urinary health. If symptoms persist, it is crucial to consult a urologist for a comprehensive evaluation, which may include a physical examination, urine tests, or imaging studies to rule out any underlying conditions.

In summary, while there may not be a direct link between your ejaculation frequency and urinary issues, the interconnected nature of these systems means that changes in one can influence the other. Monitoring your symptoms and seeking medical advice when necessary is the best approach to ensure your sexual and urinary health remain optimal.
