Can I get pregnant?

Hello, Doctor: It seems my question in the morning didn't go through, so I'm bothering you again.
My girlfriend's menstrual period was from November 23 to November 28, lasting 6 days, and her cycle is about 30 days.
We had intimate contact from November 30 to December 3.
During the first time, I used a masturbation sleeve, but I accidentally touched her genital area with the end of the sleeve (which has no opening) to simulate intercourse.
Neither of us felt any direct contact, but I'm unsure if any secretions might have come into contact with her genital area.
Visually, it appeared there were no visible fluids.
If there were any secretions, would that be a risk? Could they swim inside?
During the second time, my girlfriend sat on my right thigh, and my penis only touched her thigh.
I then ejaculated into a tissue beside us.
If my hand accidentally touched any secretions and then I touched her genital area, would that be a risk?
For the third and fourth times, I wore a condom while being erect and simulated intercourse (without penetration or ejaculation) for about 5 minutes, and then I ejaculated into a tissue afterward.
I also checked the condom afterward by rinsing it, and it was intact.

Her next period is expected on December 23, but it hasn't arrived yet.
She mentioned that her breasts feel swollen and painful when pressed.
Is this more likely a sign of her period approaching or a sign of pregnancy? Based on the activities described, is there a possibility of pregnancy? I'm a bit worried, and I appreciate your help! Thank you!

It sounds like you are concerned about the possibility of your girlfriend being pregnant after engaging in various intimate activities. Let's break down the situation and address your concerns regarding pregnancy risks and symptoms.

First, it's important to understand how pregnancy occurs. Pregnancy typically happens when sperm fertilizes an egg. This usually requires direct ejaculation into the vagina or very close contact that allows sperm to enter the vaginal canal. In your case, you mentioned several scenarios where there was no direct ejaculation inside the vagina, and you used a condom during some of the activities.
1. Contact with Secretions: You expressed concern about the possibility of sperm from your hand or the toy coming into contact with your girlfriend's genital area. While it is theoretically possible for sperm to swim from a surface to the vagina, the likelihood of this resulting in pregnancy is very low, especially if there was no direct ejaculation. Sperm can survive outside the body for a short time, but they are not very resilient and typically do not survive long once exposed to air.

2. Symptoms of Pregnancy: You mentioned that your girlfriend's breasts are tender and swollen, which can be a symptom of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) or early pregnancy. However, breast tenderness alone is not a definitive sign of pregnancy. Many women experience breast changes before their menstrual period due to hormonal fluctuations. Other common early pregnancy symptoms include nausea, fatigue, and missed periods. Since her period is expected around December 23, it would be best to wait until after that date to see if her period arrives. If it does not, a home pregnancy test can provide a more definitive answer.

3. Timing and Cycle: Given that your girlfriend's menstrual cycle is approximately 30 days, and her last period started on November 23, she is approaching the time when her next period is due. If she does not get her period, it would be advisable to take a pregnancy test about a week after the missed period for the most accurate result.

4. Contraceptive Measures: Using condoms is one of the most effective ways to prevent pregnancy when used correctly. You mentioned checking the condom for any breaks, which is a good practice. If the condom was intact and used properly, the risk of pregnancy is significantly reduced.

5. Anxiety and Concerns: It’s natural to feel anxious about the possibility of unintended pregnancy, especially when engaging in intimate activities. Open communication with your girlfriend about your concerns can help alleviate some of the stress. If either of you is worried about pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections (STIs), consider discussing contraceptive options or visiting a healthcare provider for further guidance.

In summary, while there is a possibility of pregnancy in any intimate situation, the specific circumstances you described suggest that the risk is low. However, if your girlfriend's period does not arrive as expected, taking a pregnancy test will provide clarity. In the meantime, focus on open communication and consider discussing contraceptive options to prevent future anxiety regarding unintended pregnancies.
