Hello Doctor, I am 28 years old.
Recently, I have been experiencing pain in the inner side of my left thigh when sitting, along with frequent urination and urgency.
I went to the hospital for a urinalysis and a prostate ultrasound examination.
The urinalysis results were normal, but the prostate ultrasound report indicated that the prostate was enlarged (dimensions approximately 5.2 cm x 3.7 cm x 3.5 cm, estimated weight about 35 g, with heterogeneous internal echoes and a few hyperechoic foci, but no significant focal abnormal echoes were observed).
The diagnosis was moderate benign prostatic hyperplasia with calcification.
The doctor reviewed the report and mentioned that this is not unusual for my age.
He also noted that the post-void residual urine was only 3.2 ml, suggesting that the stimulation during the transrectal ultrasound might have influenced this result.
Since my condition has improved today, the doctor did not recommend any further tests or medications, stating that if the pain or urinary symptoms return, I should come back for a semen analysis; otherwise, I can wait for a year for a follow-up examination.
