Hello Dr.
Chen, I have been experiencing these symptoms for almost a month now.
I feel a tightness and a strange sensation in my upper left abdomen, which is uncomfortable but not very painful.
When my stomach feels distended, I notice that the left side feels slightly more prominent than the right.
My mother mentioned that it’s possible for one side to be more protruded than the other, is that true? I also frequently burp and pass gas, and sometimes I feel a sudden warmth in my left abdomen.
Recently, my stools have been sometimes formed and sometimes loose, but my appetite remains normal, although there are times when it isn’t.
I haven’t lost any weight, but the most concerning issue is that I feel very anxious and tense.
Could this possibly be caused by gastrointestinal dysfunction? I am currently abroad, and about six months ago, I seemed to have autonomic nervous system dysregulation, but it seems to have improved now.
I’m wondering if the stress is causing gastrointestinal dysfunction again.
