Penile issues

A few days ago, I had a conflict at school and someone forcefully grabbed my penis.
There are no visible external injuries, and it doesn't hurt when touched, but I occasionally feel a slight tingling sensation.
My penis has a slight curvature to the left, which was not very noticeable during an erection before, but now it feels more pronounced to the left when I have a slight erection after being grabbed.

Hello: If possible, you should have your condition examined by the urology department at the hospital.
If that's not feasible, check for any bruising or swelling.
Wishing you good health.

Experiencing trauma to the genital area, particularly the penis, can understandably lead to a range of concerns, both physical and psychological. In your case, while you report no visible external injuries and minimal pain upon touch, the sensation of slight tingling and the increased curvature during an erection are noteworthy symptoms that warrant further discussion.

Firstly, it’s important to understand that the penis is composed of erectile tissue, blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue. Trauma, even without visible signs of injury, can lead to internal damage, such as bruising or micro-tears in the tissue. This can sometimes result in conditions like Peyronie's disease, which is characterized by the development of fibrous scar tissue that can cause curvature of the penis. The fact that you have noticed a more pronounced curvature after the incident could suggest that there may be some underlying changes in the tissue, even if they are not immediately apparent.

The tingling sensation you describe could be attributed to nerve irritation or minor trauma to the nerves in the area. Nerve injuries can sometimes manifest as altered sensations, including tingling, numbness, or pain. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it would be prudent to seek evaluation from a urologist. They can perform a physical examination and may recommend imaging studies if necessary to rule out any internal injuries or complications.

In terms of psychological impact, it’s not uncommon for individuals who have experienced trauma to have heightened anxiety or concern about their sexual health and function. This can lead to increased stress, which may further exacerbate physical symptoms. It’s essential to address these feelings, as they can affect your overall well-being and sexual health. Engaging in open conversations with a healthcare provider can help alleviate concerns and provide reassurance.

If you find that the symptoms persist or if you experience any additional issues such as pain during erections, changes in urination, or psychological distress, it’s crucial to seek medical advice. A urologist can provide a comprehensive assessment and discuss potential treatment options, which may include physical therapy, medication, or other interventions depending on the diagnosis.

In summary, while your current symptoms may not indicate a severe injury, they do warrant attention. Monitoring the situation and consulting with a healthcare professional if symptoms persist or worsen is advisable. Additionally, addressing any psychological concerns through counseling or support can be beneficial in managing the overall impact of the trauma. Remember, your health and peace of mind are paramount, and seeking help is a proactive step towards recovery.
