Is this pregnancy test accurate?

The last menstrual period was from July 29 to August 4.
The system indicated that menstruation should occur around August 28, but today is September 4 and menstruation has not yet arrived.
On September 2, I used a Formosa Plastics pregnancy test strip and got one line.
On September 3, I used a Formosa Plastics pregnancy test device and also got one line.
On September 4, I used a Yuxuan pregnancy test pen and again got one line.
Can I rule out the possibility of pregnancy, or is it still too early to test and should I wait another week?

When it comes to determining pregnancy, the accuracy of home pregnancy tests is a common concern for many individuals. Based on your timeline, it appears that your last menstrual period was from July 29 to August 4, and you expected your next period around August 28. Since you have not had your period by September 4, you decided to take several pregnancy tests, all of which returned a negative result (one line).
Home pregnancy tests work by detecting the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced shortly after a fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining. Generally, these tests are most accurate when taken after a missed period. This is because hCG levels increase rapidly in early pregnancy, and testing too early may result in a false negative due to insufficient hormone levels in the urine.

In your case, since your period is late, it is reasonable to expect that a pregnancy test would yield a more definitive result. However, factors such as the sensitivity of the test, the timing of ovulation, and individual hormonal variations can affect the outcome. Most home pregnancy tests are designed to be over 99% accurate when used correctly after a missed period. If you tested before your expected period, or if you have irregular cycles, it is possible that you tested too early.

Given that you have tested multiple times with different brands and all returned negative results, it is likely that you are not pregnant, but there are exceptions. If you still suspect pregnancy or if your period does not arrive within a week, it is advisable to retest. Additionally, if you experience any unusual symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, or other concerning signs, you should consult a healthcare provider immediately.

In summary, while your negative tests suggest that pregnancy is unlikely, waiting a week and retesting can provide more clarity. If you continue to have concerns or if your menstrual cycle remains irregular, seeking medical advice would be prudent. A healthcare provider can offer further testing, such as a blood test for hCG, which is more sensitive than urine tests and can detect pregnancy earlier.
