Ejaculation without semen?
Last Monday night, I masturbated before going to bed.
The next morning, I woke up feeling a tingling and soreness in my penis and testicles, similar to the discomfort after riding a bicycle for a long time.
Sometimes, I experience this sensation after ejaculation, but it usually lasts only briefly.
This time, however, it persisted intermittently throughout the day.
I then visited a urologist, who suggested that it might be due to frequent or prolonged masturbation, resulting in nerve injury.
He prescribed some medications, including Methycobal Cap.
and Anpin (Seaprose) Cap.
After taking them, I felt much better.
I also mentioned my usual issue of incomplete urination, and the doctor prescribed "Hyaluronic Acid." I have finished the nerve medication, and I have been taking Hyaluronic Acid for two weeks now.
Recently, I noticed that I have the sensation of ejaculation but no semen.
I read online that this could be a side effect of Hyaluronic Acid.
I would like to ask: 1.
Will stopping the medication restore my ejaculation function? 2.
Is this ejaculation issue related to the aforementioned nerve injury? 3.
I usually take Finasteride (for hair loss, currently taking one pill every two days).
Could there be any interactions with the medications prescribed by the doctor? I am concerned because Finasteride is also known to have urinary side effects, but I have been taking it for four to five years without experiencing any such issues.
However, I am worried about potential effects when taken together with Hyaluronic Acid.

Hello: 1) Most patients can recover after discontinuing the medication.
2) Ejaculation issues may be related to the medication (related to prostate and Tamsulosin; you can discuss this with your attending physician during your next visit, as there are many types of prostate medications, some with minor effects and others with more significant effects).
3) The most common long-term side effects of Tamsulosin include: - Decreased libido - Difficulty achieving an erection - Reduced ejaculate volume during intercourse.
You may want to discuss this with your attending physician.
Wishing you good health.

Ejaculation without semen, also known as "dry orgasm," can be a concerning experience for many men. It can occur for various reasons, including medical conditions, medications, or psychological factors. In your case, it seems that you have been experiencing some discomfort and changes in your ejaculation following frequent masturbation, which may have led to nerve irritation or injury, as suggested by your urologist.
1. Will stopping the medication restore ejaculation function?
The medication you mentioned, likely a form of a nerve-related treatment, may have side effects that influence sexual function, including ejaculation. If the medication is indeed causing the issue, discontinuing it could potentially restore your normal ejaculation function. However, it is crucial to consult your healthcare provider before making any changes to your medication regimen. They can provide guidance on whether it is safe to stop the medication and what alternative treatments might be available.
2. Is the ejaculation issue related to nerve injury?
Yes, it is plausible that the sensation of numbness and discomfort you experienced in your penis and testicles could be related to nerve irritation or injury, especially if you have been engaging in frequent or prolonged masturbation. The pelvic region is rich in nerves, and excessive stimulation can lead to temporary nerve dysfunction, which might affect ejaculation. If the nerve injury is mild, it may resolve on its own with time and rest. However, if the symptoms persist, further evaluation by a specialist may be necessary.
3. Are there interactions between the medications?
Regarding the potential interaction between the medications you are taking, including "柔沛" (likely referring to finasteride, commonly used for hair loss) and "活路利淨" (which may be a brand name for a medication affecting nerve function), it is essential to be cautious. While you have not experienced side effects from finasteride in the past, combining medications can sometimes lead to unexpected interactions. It is advisable to discuss all your medications with your healthcare provider, who can assess the risk of interactions and monitor your health closely.
In addition to these considerations, it is essential to maintain open communication with your healthcare provider about any changes in your symptoms or concerns regarding your medications. They can help you navigate these issues effectively and ensure that you receive the appropriate care tailored to your needs.
In summary, while ejaculation without semen can be distressing, it is often reversible, especially if related to medication or temporary nerve issues. Always consult with your healthcare provider before making any changes to your treatment plan, and consider discussing any ongoing symptoms or concerns you may have. Taking a proactive approach to your health will help you find the best solutions for your situation.
