Stomach discomfort?

Last week, I felt swelling in my lower right abdomen and underwent an abdominal ultrasound and colonoscopy, both of which showed no issues, except for mild hemorrhoids.
However, I have been experiencing stomach pain intermittently, located about 5 centimeters above my navel, with pain occurring on both sides and in the middle.
Sometimes I feel the urge to have a bowel movement but cannot, or when I do, the stool is loose and sometimes clay-like.
I also have generalized body aches and dizziness, but I haven't noticed any blood in my stool.
My appetite seems to have decreased significantly compared to before.
Although the stomach pain is not constant, it occurs frequently throughout the day, and sometimes there are noticeable bowel sounds that others can hear, even after eating a full meal.
Doctor, what could these symptoms indicate? Is there a possibility of stomach cancer? It has been over a week now.
Thank you, doctor.

Abdominal discomfort can be a complex issue, as it can arise from a variety of causes, ranging from benign to more serious conditions. Based on your symptoms, including right lower abdominal swelling, intermittent stomach pain located about 5 cm above the navel, difficulty with bowel movements, and overall body aches, it is important to consider several potential underlying issues.

Firstly, the fact that you have undergone abdominal ultrasound and colonoscopy, with results indicating no significant abnormalities aside from mild hemorrhoids, is reassuring. However, the presence of ongoing symptoms such as stomach pain, changes in bowel habits, and systemic symptoms like body aches and dizziness warrants further investigation.

Your description of the pain being intermittent and located around the navel could suggest a few possibilities. One common cause of such symptoms is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), a functional gastrointestinal disorder characterized by abdominal pain and altered bowel habits, including diarrhea and constipation. IBS can often be triggered or exacerbated by stress, dietary changes, or gastrointestinal infections. Given that you mentioned experiencing difficulty with bowel movements and loose stools, this could align with IBS symptoms.

Another possibility is gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or gastritis, which can cause discomfort in the upper abdomen and may be associated with nausea and changes in appetite. If you have been experiencing increased stress or anxiety, this could also contribute to gastrointestinal symptoms, as stress is known to affect gut motility and sensitivity.

Additionally, your symptoms could be indicative of gallbladder issues, especially if you have a history of gallstones or gallbladder dysfunction. Although your ultrasound did not reveal significant findings, gallbladder-related pain can sometimes be intermittent and may not always be visible on imaging studies.

It is also essential to consider the possibility of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, particularly if you have a family history of gastrointestinal issues. Although your colonoscopy results were normal, IBD can sometimes present with intermittent symptoms and may require further evaluation, including imaging studies or specific blood tests.

Regarding your concern about stomach cancer, while it is understandable to worry about serious conditions, the absence of alarming symptoms such as significant weight loss, persistent vomiting, or blood in the stool makes it less likely. However, persistent symptoms that do not improve should always be taken seriously, and it is crucial to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation.

In summary, your symptoms could be attributed to several potential causes, including IBS, gastritis, gallbladder issues, or even stress-related gastrointestinal disturbances. It is advisable to maintain open communication with your healthcare provider, who may recommend dietary modifications, stress management techniques, or further diagnostic tests to pinpoint the exact cause of your discomfort. Keeping a symptom diary, noting the frequency and nature of your pain, bowel habits, and any associated factors (like diet or stress levels) can also be helpful in guiding your healthcare provider in making a more accurate diagnosis.
