A white lesion was found in the coronal sulcus of the glans penis?
Yesterday, I noticed a small white spot near the coronal sulcus and the frenulum of the glans.
It doesn't hurt when I press on it, and I can't remove it by pulling on it.
Is this normal and is there any issue?

When it comes to finding a white bump on the glans (the head of the penis), it can understandably cause concern. However, it’s important to consider various factors before jumping to conclusions about its significance.
Firstly, many men experience various types of bumps or spots on the glans, and not all of them are indicative of a serious medical condition. One common cause of white bumps in this area is the presence of pearly penile papules, which are small, harmless growths that typically appear around the corona (the ridge of the glans). These are completely normal anatomical variations and do not require treatment unless they cause discomfort or concern for cosmetic reasons.
Another possibility is the presence of sebaceous cysts, which are small, benign lumps that can occur when sebaceous glands become blocked. These cysts are usually painless and can sometimes appear white or yellowish. They are also harmless and typically do not require any intervention unless they become infected or bothersome.
In some cases, a white bump could be a sign of a sexually transmitted infection (STI), such as genital warts caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) or other conditions like molluscum contagiosum. These infections may present with different characteristics, such as being raised, having a cauliflower-like appearance, or being accompanied by other symptoms like itching, burning, or discharge.
Given that you mentioned the bump is not painful and does not come off when pulled, it leans more towards being a benign condition rather than something serious. However, it is crucial to monitor the bump for any changes in size, color, or associated symptoms. If you notice any discomfort, changes, or if the bump persists, it would be wise to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough examination and possibly a diagnosis.
In summary, while a white bump on the glans can be concerning, many times it is a normal anatomical variation or a benign condition. However, if there are any doubts or if the bump changes, seeking medical advice is always the best course of action. Regular self-examinations and being aware of any changes in your body can help maintain your sexual health and overall well-being.
