Prediabetes Blood Sugar Issues

Huang: I am 42 years old, with a standard build (166 cm/55 kg).
At the beginning of January, my blood donation report indicated a hemoglobin A1c of 6.5, and I was advised to seek medical attention.
Two weeks later, I visited the doctor, and my hemoglobin A1c was measured at 5.7.
The doctor said I am in the prediabetic stage and that medication is not necessary, with a follow-up in six months.
After two months, I have managed to lose 3-4 kg through dietary control (reducing carbohydrates) and occasionally monitor my blood glucose levels three to four times a week.
During these two months, I had one instance of fasting blood glucose at 126 mg/dL in the morning, and I experienced postprandial blood glucose levels of 146 mg/dL after large dinners a couple of times.
However, my postprandial blood glucose levels have generally remained within normal ranges (fasting under 100 mg/dL and postprandial not exceeding 140 mg/dL).
Recently, for the past week, I have had abnormal fasting blood glucose levels for three days (around 110 mg/dL in the morning), but my postprandial blood glucose levels have been normal (between 105-135 mg/dL two hours after meals).
Could you please explain why my fasting blood glucose is higher than my postprandial levels? Do I need to seek medical treatment or medication? Thank you very much!
