Erectile pain
Hello: On March 13th, I engaged in DIY activities and experienced pain in the penis (specifically below the glans, near the front part of the shaft) during the process.
I also felt pain during ejaculation that day.
Over the past few days, I have observed that there is no pain when not erect, but there is a tight, painful sensation when I am erect.
The condition of my penis appears normal, with no bruising or abnormalities.
Just now, while watching adult films to see if there would still be pain during an erection, I did experience discomfort.
What could this issue be? Thank you.

Hello: If urination is not painful, it may indicate a minor injury during DIY activities.
However, if there is no gradual improvement, it is advisable to seek medical attention from a urologist.
Wishing you good health.

More Info
Experiencing painful erections can be concerning and may stem from various underlying causes. Based on your description, it appears that you are experiencing pain localized to the shaft of the penis, particularly below the glans (the head of the penis), during erections and ejaculation. Here are some potential causes and considerations regarding your symptoms:
1. Trauma or Injury: If you engaged in a vigorous sexual activity or "DIY" (do-it-yourself) sexual practices, it is possible that you may have sustained a minor injury to the penile tissue. This could lead to localized pain during erections. Even if there are no visible bruises or swelling, internal injuries can occur.
2. Peyronie's Disease: This condition involves the development of fibrous scar tissue inside the penis, which can cause curved, painful erections. While this typically presents with a noticeable curve, it can also manifest as pain during erections. If the pain persists, it may be worth discussing this possibility with a healthcare provider.
3. Infection or Inflammation: Conditions such as balanitis (inflammation of the glans) or urethritis (inflammation of the urethra) can cause pain during erections. These conditions may be accompanied by other symptoms such as redness, swelling, or discharge. If you notice any additional symptoms, it is important to seek medical attention.
4. Nerve Irritation or Compression: Sometimes, nerve issues can lead to pain during erections. This could be due to compression of nerves in the pelvic area or irritation from prolonged pressure during sexual activity.
5. Psychological Factors: Anxiety or stress related to sexual performance can also manifest as physical symptoms, including pain during erections. If you find that your pain is accompanied by anxiety or fear regarding sexual activity, addressing these psychological factors may help alleviate the pain.
6. Vascular Issues: Conditions affecting blood flow to the penis can also lead to pain during erections. This is less common but can occur in individuals with underlying vascular conditions.
Recommendations:
- Observation: Since you mentioned that the pain is not present when the penis is flaccid, it may be beneficial to monitor your symptoms for a few days. If the pain persists or worsens, it is advisable to seek medical attention.
- Avoid Irritation: During this period, it may be wise to avoid any activities that could further irritate the area, including vigorous sexual activity or masturbation.
- Consult a Urologist: If the pain continues, a consultation with a urologist is recommended. They can perform a thorough examination, possibly including imaging studies or tests to rule out infections or other underlying conditions.
- Discuss Sexual Health: Openly discussing your symptoms with a healthcare provider can help identify any potential psychological factors contributing to your pain.
In conclusion, while occasional discomfort can occur, persistent pain during erections warrants further investigation to rule out any serious underlying conditions. Seeking professional medical advice will provide you with the most accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment options tailored to your specific situation. Your sexual health is important, and addressing these concerns early can lead to better outcomes.
