Pain in the foreskin?
A month ago, I purchased a sexual wellness product (masturbation cup).
After using it, I did not clean it, and then I used body wash to clean it and left it on the bedside, where it collected dust.
After using it again, my foreskin became completely swollen and painful.
It hurts when I retract the foreskin, and when I wipe it with tissue, there is yellow discharge that is painful to touch.
I have tried using three different hydrophilic ointments: "Xinghui" ointment, purple fungus ointment, and Kangyan ointment, but none have been effective.
Could you please advise me on which type of ointment I should use? I'm really sorry, but the pain is quite severe.
I have seen many doctors and used various medications, but nothing has worked.
I wanted to ask for your advice.
Thank you!

Hello: Generally, as long as you keep the area clean and dry, applying the ointment for a few days should help.
If these measures are ineffective, it is advisable to seek medical attention to check for any other issues.
Otherwise, once scarring occurs, it may be difficult to retract the foreskin, making it harder to manage.
Wishing you good health.

More Info
It sounds like you are experiencing significant discomfort and pain due to an infection or irritation caused by the use of unclean adult toys. The symptoms you describe, such as swelling of the foreskin, pain when retracting the foreskin, and the presence of yellow discharge, suggest that you may have developed a condition known as balanitis, which is inflammation of the glans (the head of the penis) and the foreskin. This can occur due to poor hygiene, irritation from soaps or lotions, or infections, including bacterial or fungal infections.
First and foremost, it is crucial to maintain proper hygiene. After using any adult toy, it is essential to clean it thoroughly with warm water and mild soap, and to ensure it is completely dry before storing it. This helps prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi that can lead to infections.
Given your current symptoms, here are some recommendations:
1. Consult a Healthcare Professional: Since you have already seen multiple doctors without relief, it may be beneficial to seek out a urologist or a dermatologist who specializes in genital health. They can provide a more thorough examination and may be able to identify any underlying issues that previous doctors may have missed.
2. Topical Treatments: While you have tried several topical ointments, it may be worth discussing with your doctor the possibility of using a topical antifungal or antibiotic cream, depending on the diagnosis. If a fungal infection is suspected, a cream containing clotrimazole or miconazole may be effective. If a bacterial infection is suspected, a topical antibiotic like mupirocin could be prescribed.
3. Avoid Irritants: Until you have seen a healthcare professional, avoid using any soaps, lotions, or other products that may irritate the area further. Stick to gentle, unscented products if necessary.
4. Warm Compresses: Applying a warm compress to the affected area may help reduce swelling and discomfort. Make sure the compress is clean and use it for short periods to avoid further irritation.
5. Hydration and Diet: Ensure you are well-hydrated and consider incorporating foods that support immune function, such as fruits, vegetables, and probiotics, which can help your body fight off infections.
6. Avoid Sexual Activity: Until the issue is resolved, it is advisable to refrain from any sexual activity, including masturbation, to prevent further irritation and allow the area to heal.
7. Follow-Up: If symptoms persist despite treatment, follow up with your healthcare provider. They may consider additional tests, such as swabs for culture, to identify the specific cause of the infection.
In conclusion, while it is understandable to feel frustrated and in pain, seeking specialized care is the best course of action. Proper hygiene and timely medical intervention are key to resolving your symptoms and preventing future occurrences. Please take care of yourself and prioritize your health.
