Inquiry about the appearance of the genitalia and semen?
Hello, doctor.
Although I saw a urologist recently, I forgot to ask whether the appearance of the glans is normal.
From a top view, it seems like the sides are slightly raised and it has a slight downward slope towards the front.
Also, there are small bumps on the surface of the penis; what could be the cause of this? The last doctor said it was very normal and advised me not to squeeze them, thinking they were pimples.
Regarding the color of my semen, when I ejaculate onto my hand or the floor, it is white, but when I wipe it off with tissue, it appears slightly yellow.
Is this a concern? Although I do not experience any pain, sometimes when I haven't ejaculated for a while, the color appears more yellow on the tissue.
Thank you for answering my questions.

When it comes to understanding the normal appearance of the penis and concerns regarding semen color, it's essential to recognize that variations can exist among individuals. Based on your description, it seems that you have some questions about the appearance of the glans (the head of the penis), the presence of small bumps, and the color of your semen.
Firstly, regarding the appearance of the glans, it is not uncommon for the glans to have a slightly irregular shape. The slight protrusions you describe, as well as the gentle slope you observe from the top, can be normal anatomical variations. The glans is covered by a layer of skin that can sometimes appear different in texture or color compared to the shaft of the penis. If the bumps you mention are small, firm, and painless, they may be sebaceous glands or pearly penile papules, which are benign and common anatomical features. These should not be squeezed or manipulated, as doing so can lead to irritation or infection.
As for the color of your semen, it is typically a whitish color, but variations can occur. The presence of a slight yellow tint, especially when observed on a tissue, can be attributed to several factors, including hydration levels, diet, and the time since your last ejaculation. Semen can become more concentrated and appear darker or yellowish if there has been a longer interval between ejaculations. This is generally not a cause for concern, especially if you are not experiencing any pain, discomfort, or other unusual symptoms.
It's also important to note that the color and consistency of semen can be influenced by various factors, including diet (certain foods can affect the color), hydration (dehydration can lead to more concentrated semen), and overall health. If you notice persistent changes in color, consistency, or if you experience any discomfort, pain, or other symptoms such as swelling or unusual discharge, it would be advisable to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation.
In summary, the variations you describe regarding the appearance of the glans and the color of your semen are likely within the normal range. However, if you have any ongoing concerns or if new symptoms arise, seeking medical advice from a urologist or healthcare provider would be a prudent step. Regular check-ups and open communication with your healthcare provider can help ensure that any potential issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
