There is a hard and painful lump next to the testicle?
I have found a hard and painful lump in the area between my thighs, but I'm not sure if it's on the testicle itself.
It feels like it's located at the junction of the testicle and thigh.
At the same time, I have a red lump with some white on the frenulum under my tongue, which is also painful, but it improved a lot by the next day.
What could this condition be? Could it be a sexually transmitted infection or epididymitis? Please help me understand this, as I am noticing increasing pain in the testicular area.
Thank you!

Hello: The chances of having orchitis or epididymitis are not very high; your symptoms could also be due to inguinal lymphadenopathy (caused by infection).
I hope you can come to the outpatient clinic, where we will arrange for blood tests, urine tests, and ultrasound examinations.
As for sexually transmitted infections, they cannot be completely ruled out, so practicing safe sex is very important (whether it is an STI will depend on a physical examination and blood tests).

When experiencing painful hardness near the testicles, it is essential to approach the situation with caution and seek medical attention promptly. The symptoms you describe, including a hard and painful lump located between the thigh and the testicle, could potentially indicate several conditions, some of which may require immediate medical evaluation.
One possible cause of the hardness and pain could be epididymitis, which is an inflammation of the epididymis, the tube that stores and carries sperm. This condition can be caused by infections, including sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as chlamydia or gonorrhea, or by non-sexually transmitted infections. Symptoms typically include swelling, pain, and tenderness in the affected area, and sometimes fever or discharge.
Another possibility is testicular torsion, a medical emergency where the spermatic cord becomes twisted, cutting off blood supply to the testicle. This condition usually presents with sudden, severe pain and swelling and requires immediate surgical intervention to prevent permanent damage to the testicle.
Additionally, the lump you feel could be a hernia, where tissue protrudes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles, often causing discomfort or pain in the groin area. Hernias can sometimes be reducible, meaning they can be pushed back into the abdomen, but they can also become incarcerated or strangulated, leading to more severe complications.
The red and painful bump under your tongue could be a separate issue, possibly an oral mucosal lesion, which may be due to irritation, infection, or inflammation. While it is less likely to be directly related to the testicular symptoms, any persistent or painful lesions in the mouth should also be evaluated by a healthcare provider.
Given the potential seriousness of these conditions, it is crucial to consult a healthcare professional as soon as possible. They will likely perform a physical examination, possibly including an ultrasound of the testicles, to determine the exact cause of your symptoms. Early diagnosis and treatment are vital in preventing complications, especially in cases like testicular torsion or severe infections.
In summary, while there are several potential causes for the symptoms you are experiencing, including epididymitis, testicular torsion, or a hernia, it is essential to seek medical attention promptly. Do not delay in getting evaluated, as timely intervention can significantly affect the outcome and your overall health.
