Menstrual issues
Last month, my period came as usual, and it always arrives on a regular schedule (around the 6th of each month).
However, now that it's summer vacation, I've been going to bed later, usually around midnight to 1 AM, and sometimes I go to bed earlier when I'm more tired.
Could this delay be due to my late sleeping habits, or could it be related to my boyfriend's pre-ejaculate fluid? (We do not ejaculate inside; it only happens on the upper body.)

Menstrual irregularities can be influenced by a variety of factors, including sleep patterns, stress levels, hormonal changes, and lifestyle choices. In your case, it seems that you have a regular menstrual cycle, typically occurring around the 6th of each month. However, with the onset of summer and changes in your sleep schedule, you may be experiencing some fluctuations in your menstrual cycle.
Firstly, it's important to understand that sleep plays a crucial role in regulating hormonal balance in the body. The hypothalamus, which is responsible for regulating hormones related to the menstrual cycle, is sensitive to changes in sleep patterns. When you alter your sleep schedule, such as going to bed later than usual, it can disrupt your circadian rhythm and potentially affect your menstrual cycle. Insufficient or irregular sleep can lead to increased levels of stress hormones like cortisol, which can interfere with the normal functioning of the reproductive hormones, leading to menstrual irregularities.
Moreover, stress can also be a significant factor affecting your menstrual cycle. If you are feeling stressed due to changes in your routine, relationships, or other life events, this can further impact your hormonal balance. It's essential to manage stress through relaxation techniques, exercise, or talking to someone about your feelings.
Regarding your concern about your boyfriend's pre-ejaculate fluid, it is important to note that while pre-ejaculate can contain sperm, the likelihood of pregnancy occurring from external ejaculation (on the body rather than inside the vagina) is significantly lower. However, if you are concerned about the possibility of pregnancy or any other reproductive health issues, it may be beneficial to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice and guidance.
In summary, the changes in your sleep patterns during the summer could indeed be contributing to any irregularities you may be experiencing in your menstrual cycle. It is advisable to maintain a consistent sleep schedule, manage stress effectively, and monitor your menstrual cycle closely. If you notice persistent irregularities or have any concerns about your reproductive health, seeking advice from a healthcare provider would be a prudent step. They can provide further evaluation and recommend appropriate interventions if necessary.
