Issues with pubic hair?
I have a hard lump in my pubic hair area that has been present for about 16 days, roughly the size of a mosquito bite.
Recently, another hard lump has appeared nearby in the same area, and there is also a small bump that is black in the center, which does not have pus and does not break when squeezed.
I have not engaged in sexual activity and have maintained cleanliness.
What could this be? Do I need to see a doctor, and which specialty should I consult?

No lesions were observed, making it difficult to determine the issue.
If it is very bothersome, you may consider seeing a dermatologist.

When it comes to hard bumps in the pubic area, it is essential to approach the situation with caution and awareness of potential underlying conditions. The symptoms you describe—a hard bump resembling a mosquito bite, along with another hard bump and a black-centered pimple—could indicate several possibilities, including but not limited to ingrown hairs, cysts, or even folliculitis.
Ingrown hairs occur when hair grows back into the skin instead of outward, often leading to inflammation and the formation of a bump. This is common in areas with coarse hair, such as the pubic region. Cysts, particularly sebaceous cysts, can also form in this area and may present as hard lumps beneath the skin. They are generally harmless but can become infected, leading to pain and swelling. Folliculitis, an inflammation of the hair follicles, can present as red bumps or pustules and may be caused by bacterial or fungal infections.
Given that these bumps have persisted for 16 days, it is advisable to seek medical attention. While many skin conditions can resolve on their own, persistent lesions warrant a professional evaluation to rule out any serious conditions. You should consider visiting a dermatologist, as they specialize in skin-related issues and can provide a thorough examination. They may perform a physical examination and, if necessary, order additional tests to determine the exact nature of the bumps.
In the meantime, it is crucial to avoid picking at or squeezing the bumps, as this can lead to further irritation or infection. Maintaining good hygiene in the area is essential, but avoid using harsh soaps or scrubs that could exacerbate the condition. If you notice any additional symptoms, such as increased redness, swelling, pain, or discharge, these could indicate an infection, and you should seek medical advice promptly.
In summary, while the bumps you are experiencing may not be serious, it is always better to err on the side of caution. A visit to a dermatologist will provide you with the best course of action, whether it involves observation, topical treatments, or further intervention. Remember, taking care of your skin health is paramount, and addressing concerns early can prevent complications down the line.
