Missed menstruation?
Hello doctor, my menstrual period was from September 12 to September 18.
My cycle is usually very regular, around 28 to 29 days.
This month, my period did not come on October 12.
I went to the hospital and received an injection to induce menstruation after being one day late.
After the injection, I did not experience any signs of menstruation.
I had unprotected intercourse on the 7th and 8th day of my ovulation period last month, and on October 9, I had unprotected intercourse but withdrew before ejaculation onto a tissue.
Am I at risk of pregnancy? On the day I received the injection, I took a pregnancy test, and the doctor said I was not pregnant.
Could my period be late due to stress and staying up late?

Hello, after receiving the menstrual induction injection, it usually takes about a week for menstruation to occur.
If it still hasn't arrived, it is advisable to consult a gynecologist.
Wishing you good health.

Delayed menstruation can be a source of concern for many women, especially when their menstrual cycles have been regular in the past. In your case, you have a history of having a consistent cycle of 28 to 29 days, and now you are experiencing a delay of over a month. There are several factors that could contribute to this situation, and understanding them can help alleviate your concerns.
Firstly, it is important to note that stress and lifestyle changes can significantly impact menstrual cycles. Stress can lead to hormonal imbalances, which may disrupt the regularity of ovulation and menstruation. In your case, you mentioned experiencing stress and sleepless nights, which could very well be contributing to your delayed period. The body responds to stress by releasing hormones such as cortisol, which can interfere with the normal functioning of the reproductive hormones, leading to a delay in menstruation.
Additionally, you mentioned that you had unprotected sexual intercourse during your ovulation period. While the doctor confirmed that you are not pregnant after conducting a pregnancy test, it is still important to consider that the timing of sexual activity in relation to ovulation can influence the likelihood of conception. The withdrawal method, which you described as pulling out before ejaculation, is not a reliable form of contraception, and there is always a risk of pregnancy with unprotected sex. However, since the pregnancy test was negative, it is likely that you are not pregnant.
You also mentioned receiving an injection to induce menstruation. This is a common practice when a woman experiences a delayed period, and it can help stimulate the uterine lining to shed. However, it is not uncommon for the body to take some time to respond to such interventions, especially if there are underlying stressors affecting your hormonal balance.
In terms of your menstrual health, it is essential to monitor your cycle over the next few months. If you continue to experience irregularities or if your periods do not return to normal, it may be beneficial to consult with a healthcare provider for further evaluation. They may recommend blood tests to check hormone levels, including thyroid function and other reproductive hormones, to rule out any underlying conditions that could be affecting your menstrual cycle.
Moreover, lifestyle modifications can also play a crucial role in regulating your menstrual cycle. Ensuring that you are getting enough sleep, managing stress through relaxation techniques, and maintaining a balanced diet can help restore hormonal balance and promote regular menstruation. Regular physical activity can also be beneficial, as it helps reduce stress and improve overall health.
In summary, while delayed menstruation can be concerning, it is often influenced by various factors, including stress, lifestyle changes, and hormonal fluctuations. Since your pregnancy test was negative and you have received treatment to induce menstruation, it is likely that your cycle will normalize in time. However, if irregularities persist, seeking further medical advice would be prudent to ensure your reproductive health is in check.
