Will this lead to pregnancy?

The last menstrual period started on November 14 (with a cycle of about 27 days, and the app indicates a fertile window).
On November 27, I helped my boyfriend with manual stimulation, and he wiped himself with tissue afterward.
His hands came into contact with semen, but they were wiped with tissue.
About 5 to 10 minutes later, he inserted his hand into my vagina, approximately 7 to 8 centimeters deep.
Is there a possibility of pregnancy from this? (This is the first time anything has entered my vagina, but I am unsure if my hymen has been ruptured.)

Aa, 10~19 year old female. Ask Date: 2020/11/29

The concern about the possibility of pregnancy from hand contact after ejaculation is a common question, and it's important to clarify the mechanics of how pregnancy occurs. Pregnancy typically occurs when sperm fertilizes an egg, which usually happens during unprotected sexual intercourse or when sperm is directly deposited in the vaginal canal.
In your scenario, you mentioned that your boyfriend ejaculated and then wiped his hand with a tissue. After that, he inserted his hand into your vagina approximately 5 to 10 minutes later. While it is theoretically possible for sperm to remain viable for a short period outside the body, the likelihood of sperm surviving on a hand that has been wiped with a tissue is extremely low.
Sperm can live outside the body for a brief time, but they require a specific environment to remain motile and capable of fertilization. Once exposed to air and especially after being wiped away, the chances of sperm being viable enough to cause pregnancy diminish significantly. Additionally, the act of wiping with a tissue likely removed most, if not all, of the sperm.

Furthermore, the time lapse of 5 to 10 minutes between the ejaculation and the insertion of the hand into the vagina further reduces the likelihood of pregnancy. Sperm need to be deposited directly into the vaginal canal to have a chance of reaching the egg, and the conditions must be right for fertilization to occur.

Regarding your concern about whether this could lead to pregnancy, the consensus in the medical community is that while there is a theoretical possibility, the practical chances are very low. If you are still worried about the possibility of pregnancy, it would be advisable to take a pregnancy test if your period is late or to consult with a healthcare provider for further guidance.

In summary, while the mechanics of sperm transfer can be complex, the scenario you described presents a very low risk for pregnancy. If you have further concerns or if your menstrual cycle is irregular, it may be beneficial to discuss this with a healthcare professional who can provide personalized advice and support.
