Probability of Pregnancy
I have an extremely irregular menstrual cycle.
During high school, I visited a gynecologist who mentioned that I have mild polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Two days ago, my boyfriend's finger was inserted into my vagina to about half a finger's length (not fully).
However, since I have no sexual experience, I immediately pulled out when I felt pain.
Before inserting his finger, it seems he may have touched the tip of his penis, but I'm not sure if there was any pre-ejaculate fluid on his finger.
Given that I have mild PCOS and that his finger, which may have had a small amount of pre-ejaculate, only entered my vagina halfway, is there a possibility of pregnancy?

More Info
When it comes to the possibility of getting pregnant with irregular menstrual cycles and minimal contact, there are several factors to consider. Irregular menstrual cycles can complicate the understanding of ovulation, which is crucial for conception. In a typical cycle, ovulation occurs about 14 days before the next period starts, but with irregular cycles, predicting ovulation can be challenging.
In your case, you mentioned having a mild form of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which is known to cause irregular periods and can affect ovulation. Women with PCOS may experience anovulation (not ovulating), which significantly decreases the chances of becoming pregnant. However, it is still possible to ovulate occasionally, even with irregular cycles.
Regarding the specific scenario you described—minimal contact involving a finger that may have touched the penis and then entered the vagina—it's important to understand how pregnancy occurs. Sperm must travel through the cervix and into the uterus to fertilize an egg. While the chances of pregnancy from such minimal contact are low, it is not impossible. Sperm can survive in the female reproductive tract for several days, and if ovulation occurs during that time, there is a potential for pregnancy.
The presence of pre-ejaculate fluid (pre-cum) can also be a factor. This fluid can contain sperm, although typically in lower quantities than ejaculate. If there was any sperm present on the finger and it was introduced into the vagina, there is a slight risk of pregnancy, especially if you are ovulating.
To summarize, while the likelihood of pregnancy in your situation is low, it is not zero. If you are concerned about the possibility of pregnancy, consider taking a home pregnancy test if your period is late or if you experience any early pregnancy symptoms. Additionally, if you are actively trying to conceive or want to avoid pregnancy, it may be beneficial to consult with a healthcare provider. They can offer guidance on managing irregular cycles, understanding ovulation, and discussing fertility options or contraceptive methods if needed.
In conclusion, while the chances of getting pregnant from the described scenario are minimal, it is essential to be aware of your body and its cycles. If you have further concerns about your menstrual irregularities or potential pregnancy, seeking advice from a healthcare professional is always a good step. They can provide personalized information based on your health history and current situation.
