Genital issues
There is a white bump located below the vaginal opening, about the size of a pimple, soft and elastic, and it does not hurt when pressed.
There is also a similar bump when the labia minora are spread apart, and there is no sensation of anything growing in that area; it feels completely normal.
I would like to ask the doctor what this could be...
Thank you, doctor!

Dear Sir/Madam,
I apologize, but based on your description, I am unable to provide an accurate diagnosis.
It could be acne, a viral rash, or other conditions.
Therefore, I encourage you to bravely schedule an appointment with a gynecologist for an examination.

When it comes to soft bumps in the vaginal area, there are several potential causes that could explain the symptoms you are experiencing. Based on your description of a soft, white bump that resembles a pimple and is not painful or itchy, it is important to consider a few common conditions that could be responsible for these findings.
1. Sebaceous Cysts: One of the most common benign conditions that can occur in the genital area is a sebaceous cyst. These cysts form when the sebaceous glands become blocked, leading to a buildup of sebum (the oily substance produced by these glands). They are typically soft, movable, and painless, which aligns with your description. Sebaceous cysts can appear white or yellowish and may feel like a small bump under the skin.
2. Folliculitis: This condition occurs when hair follicles become inflamed, often due to infection or irritation. Folliculitis can present as small, red or white bumps that may resemble pimples. However, these bumps are usually tender or itchy, which does not seem to be the case for you.
3. Molluscum Contagiosum: This is a viral infection that leads to the development of small, painless bumps on the skin. These bumps can be flesh-colored or white and have a characteristic dimple in the center. They are typically harmless and may resolve on their own over time.
4. Genital Warts: Caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), genital warts can appear as small, soft bumps in the genital area. They may be flesh-colored or white and can vary in size. However, they are often associated with other symptoms, such as itching or discomfort.
5. Bartholin's Gland Cyst: The Bartholin's glands are located on either side of the vaginal opening and can become blocked, leading to the formation of a cyst. These cysts can be soft and painless, similar to what you described.
Given that you have mentioned that the bumps are not painful and do not cause any discomfort, it is likely that they are benign in nature. However, it is crucial to monitor any changes in size, color, or associated symptoms such as pain, itching, or discharge.
When to Seek Medical Attention: While many soft bumps in the vaginal area are benign, it is always advisable to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis, especially if you notice any changes or if the bumps become bothersome. A gynecologist can perform a physical examination and may recommend further tests if necessary.
In summary, while the soft, white bumps you are experiencing could be due to benign conditions such as sebaceous cysts or folliculitis, it is essential to remain vigilant and seek medical advice if you have any concerns. Regular gynecological check-ups are also important for maintaining reproductive health and addressing any issues that may arise.
