Eyelid twitching and facial muscle spasms?
I have been experiencing eyelid twitching in my right eye for about two weeks.
After a week of twitching, I visited an ophthalmologist who reassured me that the twitching would eventually resolve and advised me not to worry.
A few days later, I noticed that the area around my left nostril was also twitching.
I then consulted a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner who suggested that I had "wind" in my face.
During the days I took the herbal medicine, the eyelid twitching did improve, but it still persisted.
I observed that the twitching occurred more frequently when I blinked forcefully.
At other times, it would only happen sporadically.
However, the issue escalated; in addition to the eyelid twitching, other areas of my face (such as the left nostril, left eyelid occasionally twitching one or two times, the philtrum, and the apples of my cheeks) also experienced sporadic twitching.
Yesterday, I visited the traditional Chinese medicine practitioner again, and they performed acupuncture on me.
After returning home, I felt that the twitching had intensified and spread to other areas, possibly because acupuncture was also done on my neck, which twitched last night as well.
