A problem that has been troubling me for a while?


On March 24th, I went to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital for a corneal thickness measurement.
Since then, I have been experiencing persistent double vision, which occurs intermittently.
When I look at my phone or computer, the text suddenly becomes blurry, and it feels like the letters are overlapping.
When this symptom occurs, squinting makes it feel clearer, and after a good sleep, my vision returns to normal until I use my phone again.
I visited an ophthalmologist, who said everything was fine and prescribed some medication, but the problem persists.
What should I do, doctor? I have tried artificial tears, anti-inflammatory eye drops, Alcon Tears, Alcon conjunctivitis medication, and Ning Shuo Tong, but none have shown significant improvement.

Hello, Berry: First of all, corneal thickness measurement will not cause this phenomenon.
Your situation seems more related to ciliary muscle issues; when the ciliary muscle is fatigued, this kind of phenomenon can occur.
You might try the 20-20-20 rule for eye care: every 20 minutes of using a computer or mobile device, look away from the screen for 20 seconds and focus on an object 20 feet (about 6 meters) away.
If you can blink 20 times during this break, that would be even better.
