Are you pregnant?
Hello: Last June, I was pregnant and found out I was already one and a half months along.
However, due to financial pressures, I opted for a medical abortion.
During this time, I continued to have sexual relations with my boyfriend, who used the withdrawal method.
Recently, I have been experiencing some pain in my uterus, particularly on the left side.
Previously, before visiting the hospital for a check-up, I also felt some uterine discomfort but didn't think much of it and didn't see a doctor right away.
I noticed my menstrual cycle was over two weeks late, and shortly after, I started feeling nauseous.
I then took a pregnancy test and found out I am one and a half months pregnant again.
Could my recent abdominal pain possibly indicate that I am pregnant again?

You can simply go to a hospital, pharmacy, or convenience store to buy a pregnancy test to find out the answer.

It's understandable to have concerns about the possibility of being pregnant again, especially after experiencing an abortion. Based on your description, you are experiencing some abdominal pain, particularly on the left side, and you have missed your period for over two weeks, which has led you to suspect that you might be pregnant again.
Firstly, it is important to note that after an abortion, it is possible to conceive again relatively quickly, sometimes even within the same menstrual cycle. The body can return to its pre-pregnancy state and ovulate again, which means that if you have unprotected intercourse, there is a chance of becoming pregnant. The symptoms you are experiencing, such as abdominal pain and nausea, could be indicative of pregnancy, but they could also be related to other factors, such as hormonal changes or even complications from the previous abortion.
Abdominal pain after an abortion can be concerning, and it is essential to differentiate between normal post-abortion symptoms and those that may indicate a complication. Common post-abortion symptoms can include cramping and mild discomfort as the uterus contracts back to its normal size. However, if the pain is severe, persistent, or accompanied by other symptoms such as heavy bleeding, fever, or foul-smelling discharge, it is crucial to seek medical attention promptly.
In your case, since you mentioned that you have missed your period and are experiencing nausea, it would be advisable to take a home pregnancy test if you haven't already done so. If the test is positive, you should schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider to confirm the pregnancy through a blood test or ultrasound and to discuss your symptoms.
Additionally, if you are experiencing significant pain, it is essential to consult with a healthcare professional to rule out any potential complications, such as an ectopic pregnancy or retained products of conception from the previous abortion. An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, often leading to abdominal pain and can be a medical emergency if not treated.
In summary, while it is possible that you could be pregnant again, the abdominal pain you are experiencing warrants further investigation. It is always best to consult with a healthcare provider who can provide personalized advice and care based on your medical history and current symptoms. They can perform the necessary examinations and tests to ensure your health and well-being. Remember, your health is paramount, and seeking medical advice is the best course of action when you have concerns about your body and potential pregnancy.
