Is excessive masturbation a concern?
Since I was in the fourth grade, I have been engaging in masturbation, which has lasted for about eight years now, averaging three times a day.
In high school, I started going to bed very late (between 2 and 3 AM, waking up at 7:30 AM).
Although my weight hasn't increased much, my physical fitness tests are worse than they were in middle school.
Recently, with the upcoming major exams and being confined at home due to the pandemic, I've started to notice a gradual decrease in the firmness of my erections during masturbation, and I can no longer maintain three sessions; even the interval between erections during the second session has lengthened.
Am I experiencing organic erectile dysfunction? Is there still hope for me?

Hello: Three times a day might be a bit excessive for you.
Are you still able to focus on other things? Based on what you've described, it is absolutely unlikely that you are experiencing organic erectile dysfunction; it seems to be just a case of temporary overuse.
I recommend that you limit masturbation to no more than twice a day.
Focus on your exams and take care of your health to get into a good school.
There are happier days ahead! I hope the above response is helpful to you.

Excessive masturbation has been a topic of concern for many individuals, especially when it comes to its potential effects on sexual health, including erectile dysfunction (ED). Your experience of starting masturbation at a young age and continuing for several years, combined with the recent changes in your erectile function, raises important questions about the relationship between these behaviors and sexual health.
First, it's essential to understand that masturbation is a normal sexual activity that many people engage in. It can have various psychological and physical benefits, including stress relief and sexual exploration. However, when it becomes excessive—defined as interfering with daily life, responsibilities, or relationships—it may lead to concerns about sexual function.
In your case, you mentioned that you have been masturbating three times a day for several years, and recently, you have noticed a decrease in the firmness of your erections and an increased time between erections. These changes can be concerning, but they do not necessarily indicate that you have "organic" erectile dysfunction. Organic ED typically refers to erectile dysfunction caused by physical factors, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hormonal imbalances, or neurological conditions. In contrast, psychological factors, including anxiety, stress, and performance pressure, can also significantly impact erectile function.
The stress you are experiencing due to exams and the pandemic can contribute to anxiety, which is a common cause of temporary erectile dysfunction. The mind plays a crucial role in sexual arousal and performance, and anxiety can lead to difficulties in achieving or maintaining an erection. Additionally, late-night habits and sleep deprivation can further exacerbate these issues, as adequate sleep is vital for overall health, including sexual health.
It's also worth noting that the frequency of masturbation itself is not inherently harmful. However, if it leads to feelings of guilt, anxiety, or impacts your sexual performance, it may be beneficial to reassess your habits. Reducing the frequency of masturbation and focusing on other aspects of your life, such as physical fitness, healthy eating, and stress management techniques, can help improve your overall well-being and potentially enhance your sexual function.
If you are concerned about your erectile function, it may be helpful to consult with a healthcare professional. They can provide a thorough evaluation, including a physical examination and possibly some tests to rule out any underlying medical conditions. They can also discuss lifestyle changes and strategies to manage stress and anxiety, which may improve your sexual health.
In summary, while excessive masturbation can lead to temporary changes in erectile function, it is often more related to psychological factors, such as stress and anxiety, rather than a permanent condition. By addressing these factors and seeking professional guidance, you can improve your situation and regain confidence in your sexual health. Remember, open communication with a healthcare provider can provide you with the support and information you need to navigate these concerns effectively.
