Menstruation occurring 7 days early?
The menstrual cycle was originally irregular, but since February of this year, it has become consistently 35 days.
Last month, the menstrual period was from June 7 to June 12, and the next period was expected to start on July 12.
However, on July 5, there was very light pink discharge, and a pregnancy test on July 6 showed one line.
There was unprotected intercourse on June 22 and June 25.
What is the likelihood of pregnancy compared to the likelihood of hormonal imbalance? I am quite concerned about potential health issues and would like to consult a doctor for some peace of mind.

Hello, the symptoms in the early stages of pregnancy are not always specific, and subjective symptoms cannot be used to make a diagnosis.
There are many reasons for bleeding outside of the menstrual period (such as lesions in the reproductive organs, pregnancy, hormonal imbalances, etc.).
It is advisable to consult a physician if your period does not arrive by around the 7th to 19th of the month.
Thank you! Wishing you peace and health.

Understanding early menstruation and its implications can be quite complex, especially when considering the possibility of pregnancy versus hormonal imbalances. Based on your description, it seems you have experienced a shift in your menstrual cycle, which has become more regular since February, with a cycle length of approximately 35 days. Your last menstrual period was from June 7 to June 12, and you expected your next period to start around July 12. However, you noticed some light pink discharge starting on July 5, which is earlier than expected.
Given that you had unprotected intercourse on June 22 and June 25, there is a possibility of pregnancy, especially if ovulation occurred around the time of these encounters. Typically, ovulation occurs about 14 days before the start of your next period, which would place it around June 28 for a July 12 expected period. If fertilization occurred, implantation bleeding could explain the light pink discharge you observed. However, a negative pregnancy test on July 6 suggests that you may not be pregnant, as most home pregnancy tests are quite accurate when taken after a missed period.
On the other hand, the early appearance of light pink discharge could also indicate a hormonal imbalance or other factors affecting your menstrual cycle. Hormonal fluctuations can lead to spotting or changes in the menstrual cycle, and stress, changes in weight, or underlying health issues can all contribute to these changes.
To summarize, while there is a possibility of pregnancy given your recent sexual activity, the negative pregnancy test and the early spotting could also suggest a hormonal imbalance. It is essential to consider other factors that might be influencing your cycle, such as stress, lifestyle changes, or health conditions.
If you are concerned about your menstrual cycle or the possibility of pregnancy, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare provider. They can perform a more sensitive pregnancy test, evaluate your hormonal levels, and provide guidance based on your specific situation. Additionally, keeping track of your menstrual cycle, any symptoms you experience, and any changes in your lifestyle can be helpful information to share with your healthcare provider.
In conclusion, while the possibility of pregnancy exists, the early spotting and negative test may indicate a hormonal imbalance. A healthcare professional can provide the most accurate assessment and help you understand your body better, ensuring you receive the appropriate care and support.
