Can I get pregnant?
Hello doctor, my girlfriend has a menstrual cycle of 31 to 36 days.
Her period ended from September 1 to September 8.
On September 13, she was sitting on my lap facing away from me (kneeling) while I was helping her with manual stimulation.
When I ejaculated, almost all of it was in my pants, but she mentioned that her inner thigh was wet.
She wiped her thigh clean and washed it with water, but we are unsure if it was semen.
We are concerned whether any of it could have flowed into her vagina.
Is there a chance she could become pregnant? There was no penetration or actual sexual intercourse.

Hello, based on your description, the chances of pregnancy are not very high.
However, as long as there are active sperm in the vagina during the ovulation period, there is still a possibility of pregnancy regardless of the method.
It is advisable to take appropriate contraceptive measures, and if necessary, consult a physician for evaluation.
Thank you! Wishing you peace and health.

More Info
The question of whether pregnancy can occur without intercourse is a common concern, especially in situations where there is potential exposure to semen. In your scenario, while there was no direct penetration, there are still some factors to consider regarding the possibility of pregnancy.
Firstly, it is important to understand how pregnancy occurs. Pregnancy typically happens when sperm fertilizes an egg, which usually occurs during ovulation. For most women, ovulation occurs approximately 14 days before the start of their next menstrual period. Given your girlfriend's menstrual cycle of 31 to 36 days, ovulation would likely occur around day 17 to 22 of her cycle, depending on the exact length of her cycle.
In your case, the timeline is crucial. If your girlfriend's period ended on September 8, and you engaged in the activity on September 13, she would likely still be in the early part of her cycle, which is generally considered to be less fertile. However, sperm can live inside the female reproductive tract for up to five days, so if she were to ovulate shortly after your encounter, there is a slight chance that sperm could still be viable.
Now, regarding the specifics of your situation: you mentioned that your girlfriend's thigh was wet, and while she attempted to clean it, there is a possibility that some semen could have come into contact with her vaginal area. Although the likelihood of sperm traveling from the thigh to the vagina is low, it is not impossible, especially if there was a significant amount of semen and if it was not cleaned thoroughly.
In terms of risk assessment, the chances of pregnancy from this type of encounter are generally low, but not zero. If your girlfriend is concerned about the possibility of pregnancy, it may be advisable for her to take a home pregnancy test if her period is late or to consult with a healthcare provider for further guidance.
Additionally, if you and your girlfriend are looking to avoid pregnancy in the future, it is essential to consider using reliable forms of contraception. There are various options available, including hormonal methods (like birth control pills, patches, or injections), barrier methods (like condoms), and long-acting reversible contraceptives (like IUDs). Each method has its own effectiveness and suitability based on individual health needs and lifestyle.
In conclusion, while the risk of pregnancy without intercourse is low, it is not entirely absent, especially in scenarios where there is potential exposure to sperm. If there are any concerns about pregnancy or reproductive health, it is always best to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice and support.
