Concerns and Confusions About Circumcision

I am currently a third-year junior high school student and have some concerns about my condition, which may involve phimosis or excessive foreskin.
In elementary school, I was unable to fully expose the glans, but I found that when I used a cotton swab to gently pull back the foreskin while not erect, I could fully reveal the glans.
However, I feel that my foreskin is a bit too long.
Now that I am in junior high, although I can clean myself without any issues, when I am erect, the glans cannot be fully exposed; it only shows a little bit, and when I try to pull it back, it feels very tight.

Although I have no issues with masturbation, I am concerned about what will happen in the future when I want to engage in sexual intercourse.
If I have phimosis, it would be impossible to insert, which would be uncomfortable.
I have seen people pull back their foreskin while erect, and it seems to loosen up, but when I try to do that, it feels too tight, and I quickly pull the skin back down, fearing inflammation or injury.

I have considered circumcision, but I have a few questions about it:
1.
After circumcision, will the glans be exposed when not erect? Because when I am not erect, I have more foreskin than glans (indicating excessive foreskin).
Will it be exposed after the procedure? Would this cause friction with my underwear? After circumcision, if the foreskin is gone, will an erection cause discomfort from rubbing against my underwear? Or will I just get used to it?
2.
How will I masturbate after circumcision? Currently, I use the foreskin to slide up and down, but without it, will I just be rubbing skin? Won't that be too dry? Could it cause skin tears? Sometimes, I use very slippery body wash while showering (but I pull it down immediately when I get an erection) and it feels quite nice.
After circumcision, will I need to use lubricant for masturbation, or is body wash acceptable? I'm worried that body wash might not be good for the glans.
I have read that some people just rub directly and say that after getting used to it, it won't feel too dry.
Is that true? It seems inconvenient to have to use lubricant every time I want to masturbate, which makes me hesitant about getting circumcised.

Additionally, I know that healing from circumcision takes time.
Would it be embarrassing if my friends found out I had the procedure? The upcoming summer vacation seems like a good opportunity, and I want to consider it as a reward after my exams.
Do you think I should go through with the circumcision, or are there medications or methods, like the ones mentioned earlier, that could help? This issue has been bothering me for a long time and has often made me feel quite depressed.

Hello: 1.
After circumcision, will it be uncomfortable if the skin doesn't cover during an erection and accidentally rubs against the underwear? Or will it just take some getting used to? -- It will just take some getting used to; it may take some time.
2.
How to masturbate after circumcision? -- Similarly, you can use your hand after the circumcision, just be careful not to injure yourself.
Using body wash is also fine.
Wishing you good health.

More Info

Circumcision is a topic that often raises many questions, especially among teenagers who may be experiencing concerns about their bodies and sexual health. It’s important to approach this subject with accurate information and an understanding of the various aspects involved.

Firstly, it sounds like you are experiencing some discomfort related to your foreskin, which can be a common issue among males. The condition you described, where the foreskin is too tight to fully retract over the glans (the head of the penis), is known as phimosis. This can lead to difficulties during erections and potential issues during sexual activity. It’s good that you are aware of your body and are seeking information about it.

Regarding your questions about circumcision, here are some points to consider:
1. Post-Circumcision Appearance: After circumcision, the glans will typically be exposed at all times, even when not erect. This means that you will not have the foreskin to cover the glans, which can lead to some sensitivity initially. However, many men find that they adjust to this change over time. The concern about friction with underwear is valid; initially, you may feel some discomfort, but many men report that they become accustomed to it.

2. Erection and Sensitivity: After circumcision, the glans may be more sensitive because it is exposed to air and friction. This sensitivity can decrease over time as the skin becomes accustomed to being exposed. It’s important to note that everyone’s experience can vary, and some men may find that they enjoy the sensation more after circumcision.

3. Masturbation Post-Circumcision: You mentioned your current method of masturbation involves the foreskin. After circumcision, you will not have the foreskin to use in the same way. Many men find that they adapt their technique, often using lubrication to enhance the experience. It’s advisable to use a water-based lubricant or a product specifically designed for sexual activity, as some soaps and body washes can irritate sensitive skin.

4. Healing Time: The healing process after circumcision typically takes a few weeks. During this time, it’s important to follow your doctor’s instructions for care to prevent infection and ensure proper healing. It’s normal to have some concerns about recovery, but most men find that the process is manageable.

5. Social Concerns: It’s understandable to worry about what friends might think. However, circumcision is a common procedure, and many men undergo it for various reasons, including medical necessity or personal preference. If you feel comfortable, you might consider discussing your decision with trusted friends or family members.

6. Alternatives to Circumcision: If you are hesitant about undergoing the procedure, it’s worth discussing other options with a healthcare provider. Some men find relief through topical treatments or stretching exercises, but these methods may not be effective for everyone.

7. Consulting a Healthcare Professional: It’s crucial to consult with a healthcare professional, such as a urologist, who can provide personalized advice based on your specific situation. They can help you weigh the pros and cons of circumcision and discuss any alternatives that may be available.

In conclusion, it’s completely normal to have concerns about your body and sexual health, especially during your teenage years. Taking the time to educate yourself and seek professional advice is a positive step. Remember, you are not alone in this, and many others have similar questions and experiences. It’s important to prioritize your health and well-being, and making informed decisions will help you feel more confident moving forward.
