Menstruation is irregular?
I would like to ask about my current situation regarding pregnancy planning.
I had a normal menstrual period on November 27 of last year, but I did not have another period until I received a menstrual induction injection in early January, which led to another period on January 19 of this year.
I took a pregnancy test on February 25 and it was negative, and I have been taking menstrual induction medication since then.
Is there still a possibility of pregnancy in this situation? Does having a menstrual period after taking menstrual induction medication or receiving an injection indicate that ovulation has occurred? If I want to conceive, should I wait for my menstrual cycle to return to normal before there is a possibility of fertilization? Thank you.

It is recommended to go to the hospital for a blood test to check if your hormone levels are normal.

Understanding irregular periods and their implications for pregnancy can be quite complex, especially when hormonal treatments are involved. Based on your situation, let's break down the key points regarding your menstrual cycle, the effects of hormonal treatments, and the potential for pregnancy.
Firstly, it’s important to recognize that irregular menstrual cycles can significantly impact your ability to conceive. A regular menstrual cycle typically ranges from 21 to 35 days, with ovulation occurring approximately 14 days before the start of your next period. However, when cycles are irregular, predicting ovulation becomes more challenging. In your case, you mentioned having a normal period on November 27, followed by a delay until January 19, when you received hormonal treatment to induce menstruation. This suggests that your body may not have been ovulating regularly during this time.
The use of hormonal treatments, such as ovulation induction medications or injections, can help regulate your menstrual cycle and stimulate ovulation. However, it’s crucial to understand that just because you experience a withdrawal bleed (the period that occurs after stopping hormonal treatment) does not necessarily indicate that ovulation has occurred. In some cases, the hormonal treatment may prompt a period without leading to ovulation, especially if your body is still adjusting to the hormonal changes.
Regarding your question about the possibility of pregnancy after taking ovulation induction medications, it is indeed possible to conceive if ovulation occurs. However, if you are not experiencing regular menstrual cycles or if ovulation is not confirmed, the likelihood of conception decreases. It is generally recommended to track ovulation signs, such as changes in cervical mucus or using ovulation predictor kits, to better understand your fertile window.
If you are actively trying to conceive, it may be beneficial to wait until your menstrual cycle returns to a more regular pattern before attempting to conceive. This could help ensure that you are ovulating and increase your chances of pregnancy. Additionally, consulting with a healthcare provider or a fertility specialist can provide personalized guidance based on your medical history and current situation.
In summary, while it is possible to conceive with irregular periods, the chances are significantly improved when you can confirm ovulation. Hormonal treatments can help regulate your cycles, but they do not guarantee ovulation. If you are considering trying to conceive, monitoring your cycle and seeking medical advice can provide clarity and support in your journey toward pregnancy.
