Waking up with yellow saliva?
Hello Doctor: Recently, I have noticed that when I wake up in the morning, my saliva is yellowish.
I'm not quite sure if it has a bitter taste.
After I brush my teeth and drink water, this issue disappears.
Could this be related to liver, gallbladder, or gastrointestinal diseases? Is it more likely unrelated to the oral cavity itself? What could be causing this? I usually go to bed around 1 to 2 AM and get about 5 to 6 hours of sleep during the weekdays, while on weekends I sleep until I wake up naturally (about 8 hours).
