There is a white spot on the glans penis?

There is a whitish spot on the lower right side of the glans penis that feels the same as other areas, with no hard lumps, pain, or itching.
The only noticeable difference is the color, which is slightly white.
This spot is present both when erect and flaccid, and I have not undergone any circumcision.
I can fully retract the foreskin to expose the entire glans before and after erection.
I also wash regularly during my daily showers.
I have searched online for similar symptoms but have not found any that closely match.
The whitish spot is oval-shaped, resembling the size of a pinky nail, rather than having a cloud-like appearance.
There are no foreign objects or signs of inflammation or redness at the urethral opening, and there is no noticeable odor.
The color of the spot is similar to images found on Google when searching for "whitish spots on the glans," particularly one titled "Don't be shy! A collection of common glans conditions..." which shows a similar whitish appearance to the left of the urethral opening.
I kindly ask for your assistance in understanding my possible condition.
Thank you very much.

Understanding white spots on the glans can be a source of concern for many individuals, especially when they appear suddenly or without any accompanying symptoms. Based on your description, it seems you have a white spot on the right lower part of the glans that is not painful, does not itch, and has no hard lumps associated with it. This is an important detail because the absence of pain, itching, or other symptoms often suggests that the condition may not be serious.

There are several potential causes for white spots on the glans, and understanding these can help alleviate your concerns. Here are some common possibilities:
1. Fordyce Spots: These are small, painless, pale bumps that can appear on the glans and are actually sebaceous glands that are not associated with hair follicles. They are completely normal and harmless.

2. Pearly Penile Papules: These are small, dome-shaped bumps that can appear around the corona of the glans. They are a normal anatomical variant and are not a sign of any disease.

3. Lichen Sclerosus: This is a skin condition that can cause white patches on the skin, including the genital area. It is usually associated with itching and discomfort, but in some cases, it may not present with significant symptoms.

4. Leukoplakia: This condition involves the formation of white patches on mucous membranes and can be associated with irritation or other underlying conditions. It is important to monitor any changes in size, shape, or symptoms.

5. Fungal Infections: Sometimes, fungal infections can cause discoloration or changes in the skin of the glans, although they typically present with other symptoms like itching or irritation.

6. Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs): Certain STIs can cause changes in the appearance of the genital area, but these usually come with other symptoms such as discharge, pain, or itching.

Given that your white spot is not associated with any discomfort, it may likely fall into the category of benign conditions such as Fordyce spots or pearly penile papules. However, it is essential to keep an eye on it. If you notice any changes in size, color, or if it begins to cause discomfort, it would be prudent to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough examination.

In terms of hygiene, you mentioned that you wash regularly, which is excellent. Maintaining good hygiene is crucial for preventing infections and other skin conditions. However, avoid using harsh soaps or irritants on sensitive areas, as they can lead to irritation.

If you are still concerned about the appearance of the white spot, I recommend scheduling an appointment with a dermatologist or a urologist. They can provide a definitive diagnosis and peace of mind. Remember, while many skin conditions are benign, it is always better to err on the side of caution and seek professional advice when in doubt.
