Negative pregnancy test, menstruation has not arrived?
Hello Doctor: My menstrual cycle is approximately 41 days.
My last period was from July 10 to July 14, and my last sexual intercourse was on July 23 (unprotected and without ejaculation).
I had a blood pregnancy test on August 18 (26 days after intercourse), which showed a result less than 0.1.
I also took pregnancy tests on August 27, September 1, and September 7 (18 days late), all of which were negative.
I visited a gynecologist and received medication to induce my period, taking the last dose on the morning of September 10, but my period still hasn't arrived.
Can I confirm that I am not pregnant? If my period does not come, is it possible to receive an injection to induce menstruation more quickly?

Hello, based on your description, it is recommended to wait until the 24th.
If your menstrual period has not started by then, please check for pregnancy.
Thank you! Wishing you peace and health.

In your situation, it seems that you have been experiencing a delay in your menstrual cycle, and despite multiple negative pregnancy tests and a blood test indicating a beta-hCG level of less than 0.1, you are understandably concerned about the possibility of pregnancy. Based on the information provided, it appears that you are not pregnant, especially since the blood test was conducted 26 days after your last sexual encounter and returned a negative result.
When it comes to missed periods and negative pregnancy tests, there are several factors to consider. First, it's important to recognize that menstrual cycles can be influenced by a variety of factors, including stress, hormonal imbalances, changes in weight, and underlying medical conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or thyroid disorders. Given that your cycle is typically around 41 days, a delay of 18 days may be concerning, but it is not uncommon for cycles to fluctuate.
If you have already consulted with a gynecologist and received medication to induce your period, it is advisable to follow up with them if your period does not start after taking the medication. The use of hormonal treatments, such as progesterone or other medications to induce menstruation, is a common practice when there is a significant delay in the menstrual cycle, especially when pregnancy has been ruled out.
Regarding your question about whether you can receive a shot to induce your period if it does not come after taking the medication, this is typically a decision made by your healthcare provider based on your individual health status and medical history. If your period does not start after the medication, it is essential to return to your healthcare provider for further evaluation. They may want to conduct additional tests to rule out any underlying issues that could be causing the delay.
In summary, based on the negative pregnancy tests and the low beta-hCG levels, it is likely that you are not pregnant. However, if your period does not resume after taking the medication, it is crucial to consult your healthcare provider for further assessment and to discuss the possibility of additional treatments or investigations. Remember that your health and well-being are paramount, and seeking professional guidance is always the best course of action in such situations.
