On Monday, December 18, 2023, at 7:30 PM, I visited an ophthalmologist for an eye examination.
He mentioned that my eyes are somewhat dry, but the astigmatism is particularly high.
I would like to ask the doctor, I do notice that my eyes appear drier when I look in the mirror, but they only feel a bit sore in the morning right after I wake up; it’s not that I can’t open my eyes.
This sensation usually alleviates after a few hours.
My eyes tend to be particularly red in the morning, and I do not experience photophobia or blurred vision.
The only issue is that at night, when I see streetlights outside, they appear to be scattered.
The doctor also mentioned that my dry eye condition seems to be moderate and not severe.
I am concerned about the potential atrophy of the meibomian glands.
I have been making an effort to rest my eyes by keeping them closed often.
