Can I get pregnant?

On June 11th (the fifth day of my menstrual cycle) and June 22nd (the day before ovulation), I performed oral sex on my boyfriend.
During both instances, I did not remove my pants.
The first time, he ejaculated on my chest, and immediately after, I wiped it off, washed my hands, took a shower, and brushed my teeth.
The second time (June 22nd), he ejaculated onto a tissue, but a little bit dripped onto my chest, which I also wiped off immediately, washed my hands, and brushed my teeth, but I did not take a shower afterward.
I would like to know if, given that I kept my pants on the entire time and there was no direct or indirect contact between our genitalia, there is still a risk of pregnancy, especially concerning the June 22nd encounter.

When it comes to the question of whether you can get pregnant from oral sex, the short answer is no, you cannot get pregnant from oral sex alone. Pregnancy occurs when sperm fertilizes an egg, which typically happens through vaginal intercourse. In your case, since you mentioned that you did not have any direct or indirect genital contact during the oral sex, the risk of pregnancy is extremely low.

To elaborate further, let’s break down the scenarios you described:
1. Semen Exposure: In both instances, you mentioned that semen was either on your chest or on a tissue. For pregnancy to occur, sperm must enter the vaginal canal and reach the uterus to fertilize an egg. Since you did not have any vaginal contact, the likelihood of sperm traveling from your chest to your vagina is virtually nonexistent. Sperm requires a specific environment to survive and swim, and exposure to air and other surfaces significantly reduces its viability.

2. Timing of Ovulation: You mentioned that the oral sex occurred on the fifth day of your menstrual cycle and the day before ovulation. While timing is crucial for conception, the absence of direct genital contact means that even if sperm were to somehow reach the vaginal area, the chances of it leading to pregnancy are still extremely low.

3. Hygiene Practices: You also noted that you washed your hands and body after the encounters. Good hygiene practices further reduce any potential risk, as sperm would not survive long outside the body and would be washed away.

4. Misconceptions About Pregnancy: There are many myths surrounding pregnancy, including the idea that any contact with semen can lead to pregnancy. However, for conception to occur, sperm must be deposited in the vagina, which was not the case in your situation.

5. Health Risks of Oral Sex: While pregnancy is not a concern with oral sex, it is important to be aware of other health risks. Oral sex can transmit sexually transmitted infections (STIs) if one partner is infected. Therefore, practicing safe sex, including the use of barriers like condoms or dental dams during oral sex, is advisable to reduce the risk of STIs.

In conclusion, based on the details you provided, you do not need to worry about the possibility of pregnancy from the oral sex encounters you described. However, if you have further concerns about your reproductive health or if you are considering becoming pregnant in the future, it may be beneficial to consult with a healthcare provider for personalized advice and guidance. Always remember that understanding your body and the mechanics of reproduction can help alleviate unnecessary worries and promote a healthier sexual experience.
