Pregnancy probability
On June 4th, I had intercourse with my boyfriend using a condom, and it lasted for about five minutes.
Afterwards, I realized that it was during my fertile window, and the app indicated that my period was due on June 20th.
I took a pregnancy test on June 18th, which showed one line.
On June 19th, I experienced bleeding that lasted until June 25th, and the color and flow were similar to my usual menstrual period, so I assumed it was a normal period.
However, 11 days later, on July 7th, I had some bleeding that was a small amount of brownish color, which lasted until July 13th.
Then on July 17th, I had more bleeding, with the 17th, 18th, and 19th showing mostly brown discharge.
Today, the 20th, marks the fourth day of increased bleeding, which is bright red.
On the 23rd, it turned back to a small amount of brown discharge, and it ended on the 25th.
I took another pregnancy test on the 21st, which again showed one line.
Is there still a possibility that I could be pregnant, or is this just a case of irregular periods? Could this indicate any other symptoms?

Hello, if safe sexual practices are consistently followed, the likelihood of pregnancy is low.
For any bleeding outside of the menstrual period, it is advisable to seek medical evaluation to assess for possible menstrual irregularities or other underlying causes.
Thank you.

Understanding the chances of pregnancy, especially with irregular menstrual cycles, can be quite complex. Based on the details you've provided, let's break down the situation.
First, you mentioned having unprotected intercourse on June 4, which was during your fertile window according to your app. However, you used a condom, which significantly reduces the risk of pregnancy when used correctly. The fact that you only had intercourse for a short duration (five minutes) also lowers the likelihood of sperm being deposited in a way that could lead to conception.
You took a pregnancy test on June 18, which showed a negative result (one line). This is a good indicator that you were not pregnant at that time, especially since it was only a few days before your expected period (June 20). The bleeding you experienced starting June 19 and lasting until June 25 sounds like it could be your menstrual period, especially since you noted that the color and flow were similar to your usual menstrual cycle.
Following that, you reported additional bleeding episodes in July, with varying colors and amounts. The presence of brown or coffee-colored blood often indicates older blood, which can be normal in the context of menstruation. The fact that you had a series of bleeding episodes, including what you described as a normal period, suggests that your body may be experiencing irregular cycles rather than a pregnancy.
Regarding your pregnancy tests, you mentioned that you tested again on July 21 and received a negative result. Given that you had a negative test on June 18 and another negative test on July 21, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. Home pregnancy tests are generally quite reliable when used correctly, especially after a missed period.
Irregular periods can be caused by various factors, including stress, hormonal imbalances, changes in weight, or underlying health conditions. If your menstrual cycle has been irregular and you are experiencing unusual bleeding patterns, it might be beneficial to consult with a healthcare provider. They can perform a thorough evaluation, which may include blood tests and possibly an ultrasound, to determine if there are any underlying issues that need to be addressed.
In summary, based on the information provided, it seems unlikely that you are pregnant given the negative tests and the bleeding that resembles your menstrual cycle. However, if you continue to experience irregular bleeding or have concerns about your menstrual health, seeking medical advice would be a prudent step. Regular check-ups can help ensure that any potential issues are identified and managed appropriately.
