Small flesh-colored bumps on the corona?

Hello! I have small growths on the coronal sulcus of my glans that resemble warts...
they are very orderly...
arranged in two rows...
they are not painful or itchy, and they should be what is commonly referred to as papules...
A year ago, I consulted some doctors for a health check-up, and they examined me, saying that I shouldn't worry.
I have never engaged in sexual intercourse, but I do have a habit of masturbation.
I have also improved my hygiene...
However, it has been a year, and I would like to know if these flesh-colored bumps will disappear? When might that happen? If my girlfriend sees them, she might think I have a sexually transmitted infection, which would be quite concerning...
It also feels uncomfortable during oral sex.
Thank you for your response, doctor! Wishing all doctors long life and good health!

Pearly penile papules (PPP) are small, benign growths that typically appear around the corona of the glans penis. They are often described as small, dome-shaped, and can be white or flesh-colored. It’s important to understand that these papules are a normal anatomical variant and are not associated with any sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or other medical conditions.
The exact cause of pearly penile papules is not fully understood, but they are believed to be a normal part of the skin’s anatomy in some men. They are particularly common in uncircumcised males and usually appear during puberty or early adulthood. The presence of these papules does not indicate any underlying health issues, and they do not require treatment unless they cause psychological distress or concern.

In your case, since you mentioned that you have been examined by a healthcare professional who reassured you that there is no cause for concern, it is likely that what you are experiencing is indeed PPP. The fact that they are painless and not itchy further supports this diagnosis. It’s understandable to feel anxious about how these papules might be perceived by a partner, especially if you are concerned about being mistaken for having an STI. However, it’s crucial to communicate openly with your partner about your health and the nature of these growths.

As for whether these papules will disappear, it is important to note that pearly penile papules typically do not go away on their own. They are a permanent feature for those who have them. However, they are harmless and do not pose any health risks. If you are still concerned about their appearance, you might consider discussing treatment options with a dermatologist or urologist. Some men choose to have them removed for cosmetic reasons, but this is a personal decision and should be made after careful consideration and consultation with a qualified healthcare provider.

In terms of hygiene, maintaining good genital hygiene is always recommended, but it is unlikely to affect the presence of pearly penile papules. Regular cleaning can help prevent other issues, such as infections or irritations, but it will not eliminate the papules themselves.

If you have any further concerns about your sexual health or the appearance of your genitalia, it is advisable to seek a follow-up appointment with a healthcare provider. They can provide you with accurate information and reassurance, as well as discuss any potential treatment options if you feel that is necessary.

In summary, pearly penile papules are a common and benign condition that does not require treatment unless desired for cosmetic reasons. They are not indicative of any health problems, and maintaining open communication with your partner can help alleviate concerns about misunderstandings regarding sexual health. Always consult with a healthcare professional if you have any doubts or need further clarification regarding your health.
