Issues related to the testicles and penis?
Hello, doctor.
I have been troubled by issues related to my testicles for a long time.
My scrotum is smaller, and my left testicle is slightly larger than the right.
Additionally, there appears to be something resembling a blood vessel on the left side.
I previously went to the hospital for an examination (the doctor performed a physical examination) and was told that this condition is normal.
However, I still have some doubts about whether it could be a varicocele.
Also, on my penis, at the junction where it meets the lower abdomen, there is a very prominent vein, especially noticeable when I take a hot shower.
Is this condition normal? Thank you.

It seems there is nothing wrong, but it is still recommended that you visit a hospital to see a urologist for an examination.

When it comes to concerns regarding the testicles and penis, it's important to understand the anatomy and common conditions that can affect these areas. Based on your description, it seems you have some concerns about the size of your scrotum and testicles, as well as the appearance of blood vessels and a prominent structure on your penis. Let's break down these concerns and provide some clarity.
Firstly, the size of the scrotum and testicles can vary significantly from person to person. It's not uncommon for one testicle to be slightly larger than the other, and this asymmetry is generally considered normal. The left testicle is often positioned lower than the right, which can also contribute to the perception of size differences. If a physician has examined you and deemed your condition normal, it is likely that there is no cause for concern. However, if you are experiencing discomfort or have other symptoms, it may be worth seeking a second opinion or further evaluation.
Regarding the appearance of what you describe as "blood vessels" on the left testicle, this could be a normal anatomical feature known as the pampiniform plexus, which is a network of veins that helps regulate the temperature of the testicles. However, if you notice any changes, such as swelling, pain, or a sudden increase in visibility, it would be prudent to consult a healthcare professional for further assessment. Conditions like varicocele, which is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum, can sometimes present with similar symptoms and may require treatment if they cause discomfort or fertility issues.
As for the prominent structure on your penis, it sounds like you are referring to the penile shaft or the suspensory ligament, which can become more pronounced during certain activities, such as taking a hot shower. This is typically normal and can be attributed to increased blood flow and relaxation of the surrounding tissues. However, if you experience pain, changes in sensation, or any other unusual symptoms, it would be wise to discuss these with a healthcare provider.
In summary, while variations in the size and appearance of the testicles and penis can be concerning, many of these features are within the range of normal anatomy. If you have ongoing concerns or if symptoms develop, it is always best to consult with a healthcare professional who can provide personalized advice and reassurance. Regular check-ups and open communication about any changes you notice are key to maintaining reproductive health. Remember, your health and peace of mind are important, and seeking clarity from a medical professional is always a good step when in doubt.
