Clitoral stimulation and frequent urination?

Sometimes my boyfriend stimulates my clitoris with his hand, which makes me excited, but afterwards I often feel the urge to urinate.
However, I only pass a little bit of urine.
Recently, I've noticed that the area in my lower abdomen, closer to the clitoris, feels a bit sensitive, similar to the sensitivity after arousal, and I'm not sure if it's pain, but it feels very uncomfortable...
it's just this constant urge to urinate.
My bladder doesn't hurt; it's just that area feels very sensitive, and I keep wanting to stimulate the urge to urinate.
I usually sleep on my stomach.
At first, I thought it was because I was pressing on my bladder that made me feel the need to urinate, but recently, whenever I lie flat on my back, it feels like my lower abdomen is being stretched...
and I still have the urge to urinate...
but it's only a little bit of urine.
Also, I've always drunk very little water since I was a child; could it be that now that I'm drinking more water, I'm urinating more? Could it be that since I've always urinated very little, my bladder is also smaller? Please give me a detailed explanation.
Thank you!

Frequent urination and the sensations you're experiencing can be quite distressing, especially when they are linked to sexual arousal and stimulation. Let's break down the various aspects of your situation, including the physiological responses involved, potential causes, and recommendations for managing your symptoms.

Understanding the Physiology
1. Clitoral Stimulation and Urination: When the clitoris is stimulated, it can lead to increased blood flow and heightened sensitivity in the pelvic region. This area is closely associated with the urethra and bladder, which can sometimes create a sensation of needing to urinate. The pelvic floor muscles, which support both the bladder and the reproductive organs, may also contract during sexual arousal, contributing to the urge to urinate.

2. Frequent Urination: The feeling of needing to urinate frequently, especially after sexual activity, can be attributed to several factors:
- Increased Sensitivity: After stimulation, the nerves in the pelvic region may be more sensitive, leading to a heightened awareness of bladder sensations.

- Bladder Irritability: Sexual arousal can sometimes cause the bladder to become more irritable, leading to a sensation of urgency even when the bladder isn't full.

- Hydration Levels: If you've recently increased your water intake, your body may be adjusting to this change. Drinking more fluids can lead to more frequent urination, especially if your body is not used to processing larger volumes of liquid.

3. Anatomical Considerations: You mentioned that you have historically consumed less water, which may have influenced the development of your bladder capacity. A bladder that has not been regularly filled to its capacity may not stretch as much, potentially leading to a sensation of urgency even with smaller amounts of urine.

Potential Causes of Your Symptoms
- Overactive Bladder: This condition is characterized by a sudden urge to urinate that may be difficult to control. It can be triggered by various factors, including stress, anxiety, or even sexual arousal.

- Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: Tightness or dysfunction in the pelvic floor muscles can lead to discomfort and a sensation of urgency. This can be exacerbated by certain positions during sleep or activity.

- Urinary Tract Issues: While you mentioned that your bladder does not hurt, it’s still worth considering that there could be underlying urinary tract issues, such as irritation or inflammation, that might not present with typical symptoms.

Recommendations for Management
1. Hydration: Continue to drink water, but monitor your intake to find a balance that works for you. Staying hydrated is essential, but if you notice that increased fluid intake leads to discomfort, you may want to adjust accordingly.

2. Pelvic Floor Exercises: Consider engaging in pelvic floor exercises (Kegel exercises) to strengthen the muscles in that area. This can help improve bladder control and reduce the sensation of urgency.

3. Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques: Since anxiety and stress can exacerbate urinary symptoms, practicing relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga may help alleviate some of the discomfort.

4. Consult a Specialist: If your symptoms persist or worsen, it may be beneficial to consult a urologist or a pelvic floor specialist. They can conduct a thorough evaluation, including bladder function tests, to determine if there are any underlying issues that need to be addressed.

5. Avoid Irritants: Certain foods and beverages, such as caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods, can irritate the bladder. Keeping a food diary to track what you eat and drink may help identify potential triggers for your symptoms.

Conclusion
Your experiences with frequent urination and sensitivity in the pelvic region are not uncommon, especially in the context of sexual arousal and changes in hydration. By understanding the physiological responses involved and considering potential underlying causes, you can take steps to manage your symptoms effectively. If the discomfort continues, seeking professional advice will be crucial in finding a tailored approach to your situation. Remember, your comfort and well-being are paramount, and addressing these concerns with a healthcare provider can lead to significant improvements in your quality of life.
