Please ask your questions?
Hello, I would like to ask you about a concern I have.
Previously, my forehead had increased significantly, but now the balding area on my forehead has started to grow fine hair (without using any medications or treatments).
I am very happy that the bald area is growing fine hair, but it has been almost three months and the length has not changed (still 0.5 cm).
What methods can I use to make it thicker and longer? Additionally, my scalp often feels oily, and I have a habit of scratching my scalp with my nails, which results in yellowish oil being extracted, along with hair loss.
I also notice yellow oil at the hair roots, and sometimes I have pimples on my scalp, accompanied by a tingling sensation.
Given these symptoms, what types of shampoos would you recommend? Thank you for your guidance.

1.
You can use Minoxidil topical solution (not Minoxidil shampoo).
However, be careful not to let the solution run down to your eyebrows or eyes during application.
2.
Use Helen's Rosemary or Renshan Lishou.
When washing, do not scratch the scalp with your nails; only use your fingertips to massage.
Allow the foam to sit on the scalp for five minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out with your concerns regarding thinning hair and scalp issues. It sounds like you are experiencing a combination of hair thinning, scalp irritation, and possibly seborrheic dermatitis or another scalp condition. Let’s break down your concerns and explore effective solutions.
Thinning Hair and Regrowth
You mentioned that you have noticed fine hair regrowing in areas where you previously experienced thinning. This is a positive sign, as it indicates that your hair follicles are still active. However, if the new hair is not growing in thickness or length, there are several strategies you can consider to promote healthier hair growth:
1. Nutrition: Ensure that you are consuming a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals that support hair health. Nutrients such as biotin, zinc, iron, and vitamins A, C, D, and E are crucial for hair growth. Consider incorporating foods like eggs, nuts, seeds, leafy greens, and fish into your diet.
2. Scalp Care: Since you are experiencing scalp issues, it’s essential to maintain a healthy scalp environment. Avoid scratching your scalp, as this can lead to inflammation and further hair loss. Instead, consider using a gentle exfoliating scalp treatment to remove dead skin cells and excess oil.
3. Topical Treatments: While you mentioned not using any medications, topical treatments like minoxidil (Rogaine) can be effective in promoting hair growth. It’s available over the counter and can help stimulate hair follicles. Consult with a dermatologist to discuss whether this option is suitable for you.
4. Hair Care Products: Look for shampoos and conditioners that are formulated to promote hair thickness and strength. Products containing ingredients like keratin, biotin, and caffeine can be beneficial. Avoid harsh sulfates and parabens, as they can irritate the scalp and strip hair of its natural oils.
Scalp Issues
Regarding your scalp symptoms, including itching, yellowish oil, and pimples, these could be indicative of seborrheic dermatitis or another scalp condition. Here are some recommendations:
1. Medicated Shampoos: Consider using shampoos that contain active ingredients like ketoconazole, selenium sulfide, or zinc pyrithione. These ingredients can help reduce inflammation, control oil production, and treat fungal overgrowth on the scalp.
2. Avoid Scratching: It’s crucial to avoid using your nails to scratch your scalp, as this can lead to further irritation and potential infection. Instead, try using your fingertips to gently massage your scalp when washing your hair.
3. Regular Washing: Maintain a regular washing schedule to keep your scalp clean and free from excess oil and buildup. Depending on your hair type, washing every other day or a few times a week may be appropriate.
4. Consult a Dermatologist: If your symptoms persist or worsen, it’s advisable to consult a dermatologist. They can provide a proper diagnosis and recommend specific treatments tailored to your condition.
Conclusion
In summary, addressing thinning hair and scalp issues involves a combination of proper nutrition, gentle scalp care, and the use of appropriate hair care products. While it’s encouraging that you are seeing new hair growth, it’s important to take steps to ensure that this hair can thrive and grow thicker. Additionally, managing your scalp condition will help alleviate discomfort and promote a healthier environment for hair growth.
