My penis is too short?
Hello doctor, I am now a first-year high school student.
My question is that my penis is quite short; after playing sports, it shrinks and becomes wrinkled, measuring about two centimeters.
Normally, it is about three centimeters, and when erect, it is around 5 to 6 centimeters.
I have also developed pubic hair, so does this mean it won't grow any larger? What should I do? Thank you for helping me with this question.

It's completely normal to have concerns about penis size, especially during adolescence when your body is going through many changes. First and foremost, it's important to understand that penis size can vary significantly among individuals, and many factors contribute to this variation, including genetics, hormonal levels, and overall body development.
During puberty, which typically occurs between the ages of 9 and 14 for boys, the body undergoes numerous changes, including the growth of pubic hair, changes in voice, and the development of the penis and testicles. The growth of the penis usually continues throughout puberty, which can last until the late teens or even early twenties. Therefore, if you are currently in your first year of high school, it is likely that you still have some time for further growth and development.
Regarding your specific measurements, it’s important to note that the average erect penis size is around 5 to 6 inches (approximately 12.7 to 15.24 cm), while the average flaccid size is about 3.6 inches (approximately 9.16 cm). Your measurements, while on the smaller side, fall within a range that many individuals experience. Additionally, the size of the penis can appear smaller when it is flaccid, especially after physical activity, due to the contraction of blood vessels and muscles in response to temperature and physical exertion.
If you are concerned about your penis size or development, it may be helpful to speak with a healthcare professional, such as a pediatrician or urologist. They can provide reassurance, assess your growth and development, and address any underlying concerns. It’s also important to remember that penis size does not determine your worth or ability to engage in healthy relationships. Confidence, communication, and mutual respect are far more important in intimate relationships than physical attributes.
In summary, it is likely that you will continue to grow and develop during your teenage years. If you have any ongoing concerns or questions about your body, don’t hesitate to reach out to a healthcare provider who can offer guidance and support. Remember, you are not alone in feeling this way, and many young men share similar concerns during this stage of life. Focus on your overall health, self-esteem, and personal development, and try not to compare yourself to others.
