The glans is discharging a white fluid?
Hello! (1) Sometimes when the stool is harder, I notice one or two drops of white liquid coming out when I strain.
Could this be due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), or is this a normal phenomenon? (2) Occasionally, I feel the urge to urinate, but it takes about 7 or 8 seconds before I can actually urinate.
However, there are times when I feel a strong urge, but it is even more difficult to urinate.
Is this normal?

1.
This may be impurities in the urine or within the urethra, or it could be semen.
2.
The cause may be a minor issue with the control and function of the bladder sphincter.
The above issues are not normal; if it occurs occasionally, it may not be a concern, but if it happens frequently, it is best to consult a urologist.

Hello! Thank you for your questions regarding the white fluid discharge and urinary delays. These symptoms can be concerning, and it's important to understand their potential implications.
1. White Fluid Discharge During Bowel Movements: The presence of a white fluid discharge during bowel movements, especially when straining, can be indicative of several conditions. One possibility is the release of prostatic fluid, which can occur in men due to prostate enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH) or other prostate-related issues. However, it could also be related to other factors such as mucus secretion from the intestines, which can happen when straining or experiencing constipation. If this discharge is persistent or accompanied by other symptoms such as pain, discomfort, or changes in bowel habits, it would be wise to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation.
2. Urinary Delays: Experiencing a delay in urination, where you feel the urge but it takes several seconds to start urinating, can be attributed to various factors. In men, this can often be linked to prostate issues, such as BPH, which can obstruct the flow of urine. Other potential causes include urinary tract infections (UTIs), bladder dysfunction, or even anxiety-related issues that can affect the ability to urinate promptly. The fact that you sometimes have a strong urge but find it difficult to urinate could suggest a need for further investigation.
It is not uncommon for individuals to experience variations in urinary flow and urgency, but if these symptoms are frequent or worsening, it is advisable to seek medical attention. A urologist can perform tests, such as a urinalysis or ultrasound, to assess the health of your urinary system and prostate.
In summary, while some of these symptoms can be within the realm of normal variations, they can also indicate underlying health issues that warrant further investigation. It is always better to err on the side of caution and consult with a healthcare provider, especially if you notice changes in your urinary habits or experience discomfort. Maintaining hydration and a healthy diet can also support urinary health, but persistent symptoms should not be ignored. Thank you for reaching out, and I hope this information helps clarify your concerns!
